Five years ago today, all I could think of was Spiral Knights.
Five years ago today, I had finally gotten to tier 3.
Five years ago today, I had turned twelve.
Five years ago today, was one of the better birthdays I've ever had. Spending my day playing Spiral Knights with my friends.

I don't know why I thought of writing this here, but I felt as if I should do it. I guess its a way for me to remember all the great times I had, spending my days playing, loving, and thinking of Spiral Knights. So, I shall spend my 17th birthday thinking of the great times I've had, and the ones I'll have.
I'm putting a lot of trust into Gray Havens with the hope they'll be able to restore Spiral Knights to the game it once was, to the game that was the single best game I have ever played.

I too have fond memories of that kind. Spiral Knights was my first multiplayer game, and it always holds a special place in my heart. Feel free to hit me up in-game! My IGN is the same as my forum name. ~Z

I don't really play anymore. All the promos and stuff kind of drove me away. But thanks anyway. Spiral Knights was my second multiplayer game and I had some really nice friends that I wouldn't mind still knowing, and countless fond memories.

Can't help but come back

SK just has this charm to keep players coming back... at least veterans. I can't help but always remember the years I've put into this game. And well, as long as Grey Havens keep making content (albeit very slowly which I do not mind) I will always come back for it.

Pessimism level restored

Hope is the first step on the road to disappointment.

alternatively...

Luckily, the road to disappointment isn't a one way street; you can turn around at any time.

:/

Which is why you never hope for things, instead of hoping it to come true, you make it into a reality through your own strength.

@Midnight True that! The

@Midnight

True that! The people who sit around and hope are the ones who accomplish nothing. But the people who make things a reality... those are the leaders, innovators, managers, CEOs....job creators, Jack!

But what can we do to make our SK dream a reality, when GH keeps saying "I got dis, we dun need ur help playaaas" but only updates at a paint-drying rate?

Hope is dangerous

Well sure, I can imagine being hopeful can lead me to be disappointed, but if nothing happens... well I got other stuff to play. It's just that SK keeps in it for when they DO happen to release something new. As I said, I don't mind waiting for forever as long as SK doesn't fully and completely go poof.

I hope for stuff all the time, but I don't let that hope become the centerfold of my life. Other things happen and I hope for them. People have issues and I hope for their resolution.

It all really depends on your view of failure. If failure is the end of the line then yes, hope leads to disappointment. If you're like me, failing is an integral part of learning, so for every time a hope ends in failure I learn another little bit about life, the scenario, expectations, etc.
