I honestly think the Energy system is a good idea.
I think it's really clever and I think it works for this game. A lot of people complain right off the bat because they immediately equate it to "pay2play" just because you have a daily limit.
Really, it just works. If you use up all your allotted energy in a day and still have fun with the game, I think the developers deserve some money at that point.
$0.75 for another two days' worth of energy that never runs out is not a bad deal either.
Just wanting to throw out some positive feedback on the system because I see it getting a lot of hate in the suggestion area of the forums.
The model is the same as the one used in Arcades in the old days.

Except it's easier to trade your tickets for tokens.
On one hand, when dealing with crafting those are one time craft items. You aren't spending several hundred energy every day for crafting, unless you're crafting for sale which just means that the cost of energy is rolled into the final charge.
However (and this is worth another thread), I'd like to see the energy for crafting come down, items to be unbound, and item decay introduced to facilitate more of a crafting market. Of course a benefit would include being able to level up items and then sell them to a crafter for use in a higher star item.
I dont mind paying to go into dungeons but do they have to have energy to make weapons? that i dont agree with.
You never have to buy any energy. Plenty of energy can be easily traded for on the marketplace.

I don't know what kind of arcade you went to that gave anything other than cheap bracelets for anything less than a thousand tickets. Besides, the real games (not the Chuck E. Cheese stuff) don't even award tickets.
I'm totally okay with the energy system except for crafting... It already requires crowns and materials, but then it takes an entire day's worth of energy or more? That seems a bit extreme to me.
Are you guys not able to make enough crowns with less than 100 energy to buy 100 more energy?
60-80 energy is all it should take in arena runs to make at least 6000-8000crowns which is more than enough to buy an extra 100 energy off the marketplace, after that just wait for your mist energy to replenish and craft your item. (or you can run it again?)
If you play right, eventually you'll have so much crowns or energy it doesn't even matter anymore, but don't expect to see that in the first week of playing.
I agree, good sir! Energy definitely isn't as bad as people make out. I think one problem is some people are used to playing a game for hours on end, something that can get a little costly with Spiral Knights, as opposed to a subscription sort of thing. But I honestly like this. Helps to keep me from playing games all day :P
