Habitually I use bombs in the final fight. Also I use a gun in the earlier levels, just to hit the switches. But I have certainly run this mission using only swords. In my opinion, there are two annoying features of DaN, that are especially hard on sworders: the lost souls and the void lichen projectiles. But that's why we dodge.
One tactic is Brandish-style charge attacks. If you have enough CTR, then you spam these and not much can touch you.
Another tactic is Sealed-style (or Troika-style) regular attacks, because they knock everything back. You still have to be careful with lichen projectiles and lumber arms.
I haven't tried Warmaster Rocket Hammer or Fang of Vog. The former seems doable but a bit dangerous. The latter sounds fun and definitely dangerous in the usual self-ignition way. Piercing swords and Cutter-style swords seem like not a great choice. Calibur-style charges might work well.
