Opinion on Auto Aim with the Auto gun / other guns? (PvE)

I feel projectiles that can be used for multi-targets should not use auto aim, so you can precisely aim where you want to aim.
Even if you slightly miss, the projectile is usually wide enough to have the edge of it come in contact with the enemy you're trying to hit.

Autoguns is a bit different for me.
If I slightly get off-target, it can cause 1-2 pellets to miss in comparison to just using the auto-aim feature to get it dead center to ensure the most pellets hit.
So I'm wondering, should I use auto aim for the auto gun? I feel like it is useful specifically for the autogun in PvE, whereas the others would be more useful without auto aim.

I'm just on a new character with my gf and we only got 2* gear so far -- info with respect to that would be helpful :D

Hello Darkness, my Old Friend.

Autogun's attacks are accurate-er(more accurate) at close range but say if you have two targets next to each other and you want to hit them both, Auto-Aim will mess up your shots.

But Auto-Aim is fine for the Redshirts, when aiming left or right the shot is a little off from the cursor.

depends

Really depends on the scenario. Guns you want to aim for center mass with (magnus, autogun) typically work wonders with auto target. Autoguns at close range also do much more damage, making it more critical to use auto target with them.

However, if you want to hit multiple targets, toggling auto target for that isn't a bad idea. Having a button dedicated to toggling auto target is very helpful for such things.

Auto target makes you more precise for single targets. As long as you know when to toggle, you can have the best of both worlds.
