Well Hello everyone, I've been playing this game since the elevator cost 10 ce and i like how the game got really updated and so on with the missions etc

but what i really want to know why didn't spiral knight get a workshop yet ?
seriously, there are alot more that the community can do ...
and i believe if we can have the ability to help the GH why not take it ?

it can open up for Weapon creation, customs, map creations, and much more !
look at team fortress 2 ? where do you think 80% of its items came from ?
Community !

And i believe that a step like this can bring ALOT of people to the game again .....

i my self have some Questions.
one of them about the servers
If you cant hold servers for its payment why don't you make the PVE depend on the leader of the group or soo.
there are alot of questions i have and il keep it for anther thread

note: Sorry for my English :/

why should we only depend on

why should we only depend on the 10 people are working on the game and leave a whole community waiting ?
that will only get the game to a point where those 10 people can't take it and leave it die ....
its time to revive this game ...

Pessimism level restored

Long story short, workshop isn't going to happen, Chronus, the official spokesman of GH stated that they simply don't have time to check the things that the players made.

Community is great and all, but that is not going to mean anything if the developers don't have much planned in the future anyway (which Chronus have again stated, no big update anytime soon). Again GH is not making any promises in the update front. And I highly doubt for the amount of people it brings back is worth the effort.

And before you ask, GH is the remnant of the staff laid off from OOO, they are taking money from their own wallet to keep these games (Sk is just one of the five games made by OOO before SEGA laid them off) alive. So in another word, the revenue from the game itself is actually no longer self sustainable.

I would rather see this game to go down with some dignity rather than becoming a sick dog that has to be put down. But oh well, hope is such a splendid thing...

It is the 3rd Millennium. For more than five years Spiral Knights has sat immobile on the Golden Throne of java. It is the foremost of MMO by the will of its players, and master of thousands of P2W players by the might of their inexhaustible wallets. It is a rotting carcass writhing invisibly with shifting update schedules and radio silence. It is the Carrion Lord of the MMO scene for whom a thousand hours of human lives are sacrificed every day, so that it may never truly die.

Yet even in its deathless state, SK continues its eternal vigilance. Mighty prize boxes cross the micro-transaction infested miasma of the internet, the only route between distant player bases, their way lit by paypal, the legal manifestation of the SK's will. Vast armies of fanboys give battle in SK's name on uncounted websites. Greatest amongst its soldiers are the GMs, the overpowered administrators, bio-engineered to only give the player base cheeky replies and little else. Their comrades in arms are legion: the data slaves and their countless research sheets, the ever vigilant newbies, and the fan artists, to name only a few. But for all their multitudes, they are barely enough to hold off the ever-present threat from other better MMO games, their own self assurance, the need for more monetization - and worse.

To support Spiral Knights in such times is to spend untold thousands. It is to support the most hopeless cause imaginable. These are the tales of those times. Forget the hope of new DLCs and gear updates, for so much has been canceled, never to be developed again. Forget the promise of cheaper crystal energy and caring about the fan base, for in the Grey Havens HQ there is only silence, prize boxes and timed events. There is no fun amongst the MMORPG, only an eternity of paying and grinding, and the laughter of former players who left SK to play better games.
