I want to make a set, but the recipes are way too stupid to find.
Can't find the 3 star recipe for falcon shade armor because the dude will only sell 2-5 3* recipes at a time from almost every 3* item in the game, and the 5* ones will be even more stupid to find..
Opinions on new gunner armor after the old gunner update?

Meh.
Deposits make buying those slips in an effort to profit a pointless endeavour. I'd pay 30+k for a 5* Falcon Shade Armor recipe, the electrical resist one but no one is ever selling when I check.
I have a detailed armor guide that you might find useful. See the section for handguns. The gunner update armors are good and pretty balanced --- comparable to Shadowsun and Perfect Mask of Seerus. Of course, Chaos and Black Kat have wrecked the armor balance in this game, but inexperienced/laggy/curious players may still like to explore other options.
Sorry about your recipe problem. And they're not on the Auction House? Apparently this is an under-served market.
