I'm here to somplain about them due to me dying to the 2 much. Actually I died to them.. more than twice.. on Normal difficulty.
Heres what I see
Spookcats:
Move too fast, when stops you get rekt by their balls or yet it moves again to bite you,
No way to kill it not taking damage from other mobs in rooms when you play solo at least.
Sometimes he moves so far that walking to kim takes some time, meantime:
Office misions
..you get Xxx_420Blazeit_xxX noscoped by thei chairs and other office stuff.
They're annoying to fight agains, I'll said its unfair to fight them.
They can runaway.. with is just annoying, it feels like they're mocking you.
They throw stuff.. Its an idea but they throw it so fast I can't even check if my head is still intact,
in fact, while I do I get another chair to the back..
They get another throw in such short time 2.
Most annoying and deadly is their Run, jump and instantly throw combo.
Its just me that I want to finish them but they get up and instantly throw his trident, killing me and forcing me to pay yet another 10k crowns for 100 energy and buying myself a life.
This is broken mo.. They're broken mobs.
Please reconsider nerfing them for sanity of mine and others.
Nerf the spookcats and office minions
For me The Office minions sometimes don't get stun from attack, whenever I miss my stun (maybe due to lag) they have thei throwable ready to give me a ticket right back to heaven.
And for spookcats, their stun duration is too short. They sometimes just get out of my attack and spew their elemental/shadow balls of rektinessess that sometimes might take half my health..
Spookcats stun duration should be increased as for something that moves so crazy and due to lag compensation most of mayers may expirience.
Talking about serious, I've lost about 7 SoL MOST to them and much more CR. Getting it back took about 2-3 hours and it was about 500 E 100:10k CR each. Its almost 1.50 Euro. So it was huge waste f my time to get rekt at tle last lever of mission due to their irritating attacks, .. on gowdann Normal difficulty..
The trick is to shoot them while, at the same time, avoiding their attacks.
If that is too difficult, perhaps you could try spamming Dark Briar Barrage.
Maybe sun shards if you're a masochist: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vrX3yB7i3z8
If you're having trouble with a mission, the solution would be to get a group of other knights together to help you complete the mission, not to nerf the monsters.
I stand strong on about 100 ping and while devilites and spookats can cause me some issues, they are far from unbeatable. Perhaps you need more gear that is better suited for fighting them.
Just remember that monsters have mini tiers within themselves, with piercing monsters being the "easiest", elemental monsters being the "middle", and shadow monsters being the "hardest". Both monsters you've described are of the latter portion, and are naturally difficult. I'd invest in some shadow defensive gear and elemental/piercing weapons, and practice fighting these monsters a bit. I'd also recommend buying 200E with your crowns and purchasing sparks of life from the supply depot when you're in haven so you aren't digging into your wallet for revives if this scenario happens.
Spookats aren't that difficult, once you can predict their movement they're easy. Get out of the way of the lunge, dash towards them through the bullets if you want to melee, pepper them from afar if you're a gunner. If you want an extra edge against them, the Shock Pulsar line destroys them due to their tendency to group up, and Shock will often interrupt their lunges.
Devilites, the strategy is "supposed" to be "hit them as they wind up because they flinch with one attack." This would be very helpful...except their wind-up time in Tier 3 is about 1 second (lag means you have even less time), they do everything they can to stay out of piercing sword range, shielding their projectiles as a reaction is near impossible because of lag and their sheer speed, they hit like a truck despite their already high numbers and speed, and it only gets worse when they're "upgraded." The best advice I can give for Devilites is spam a Pulsar at them from afar and combo them to death with a piercing sword when the opportunity arises.
Yeah, Devilites might be a bit strong for cannon-fodder monsters (meanwhile Gremlin knockers are literally running around in circles and blowing themselves up. You can't make this stuff up, people.)
nah
we don't need loot pinatas
[edit, just in case of serious]
I think you should be a little more patient with the game. These monsters aren't too difficult to beat once you become familiar with their patterns.
