it hasn't been any updates in few months and i think SK is about to die like evolve did. suggest what happen next by commenting this forum
NO UPDATES?!
SK must be alive due to the greater number of "is SK dying" threads than usual.
Fangel is right.
Well, given that Grey Havens have been working on not only new updates, but they've been ironing the remaining problems since they formed and obtained the game since OOO disbanded by SEGA from financial problems & layoffs.
That, & Grey Havens only has a couple people that worked on the game while they were at OOO, and at that time being, they all were under SEGA's corporate hands before the layoffs shuttered OOO down. GH is truly an indie company, and the very huge advantage of it is, they've gotten far more than enough freedom and creative control, without the big corporate eyes preventing them from doing it(that is, if you get the meaning. if not, go look on that by yourselves), than OOO had before their partnership.
We've given them time to settle, & may still need more, but they're still doing their best to keep the game updated while they keep ironing out every last remaining problem they have from the game's migration. They gave us some new additions, too, like the Golden Slime Casino, E.G., so that counts toward keeping the game fresh.
Sure, it's been idle for some time, but I, among numerous others, still have hope for Grey Havens and SK. Don't worry. It's not going to be gone, not as long as we keep giving them support. Should GH post more status updates on the state of SK & them, they'll let us know.
Plus, seriously, worrisome threads, like this, are really kinda getting old real quick.
Don't worry sk will not die. Developers just need some time.
Spiral Knights has been out for quite some time. Last October we got word that new content is in the pipelines, however they were at the earliest stages of it (ie, brainstorming stage).
The creative process for creating content takes time. If you're curious about how the game is going, check out the State of Haven thread.
Evolve didn't have over half a decade of runtime to it, so its death was premature. Spiral Knights has been going on long enough for a laptop to die to old age, so in terms of lifespan it's doing pretty well.
