Which Shade armor line should I get, mainly to pair with BKC (PvE and PVP)

I'm wondering which Shade armor I should get to pair with my BKC. I see that there are 4 lines with different status resistances that I can get, Grizzly resists Freeze weak to poison, Snakebite which resists Poison weak to fire, Firefly which resists Fire and is weak to Shock, and last Falcon resisting Shock and weak to freeze.
My BKC has a Shadow Med UV and nothing else (I probably won’t try to get a UV simply for the set)
I will really be using this set in both PvE and PvP so something that is relatively strong in both would be good. I won’t really use this for FSC so I am probably not going to be using Firefly, also because, in PvP a double shock weakness is deadly.
That leaves me with 3 decent choices: Grizzly, Falcon and Snakebite.
Snakebite: If I wanted to go for looks I would go with the Snakebite simply because the spikes match my color. This would then be a nice armor for Dreams and Nightmares as it resists poison from the void slimes. However I already have a nice poison resisting gunner armor in my Shadowsun Slicker so this seems almost redundant. The main reason I might use Snakebite instead of Shadowsun is that the ASI low bonus would bring my total ASI up to Max. For PvP both of the statuses affected by the armor are pretty rare to see and it wouldn’t really be a factor.
Grizzly: The reason I would go for Grizzly is because of the synergy between the freeze bonus of the armor and the BKC. The status that it is vulnerable to is not really all too deadly as it doesn’t directly damage or impede movement. In PvP it would be nice to have the ability to walk through a Shivermist as well as the fact that poison is rarely used in PvP. However I already have a Black Kat Mail so it might be a little redundant.
Falcon: This armor would almost cancel out the Freeze bonus of the BKC and the Shock bonus of the Falcon. I guess it could be seen as trading Freeze strength for Shock strength which IMO is pretty good. With this pairing I would not be as vulnerable to shock which can be a big turnoff for BKC users. I’ve seen (but don’t plan to get) shock Max uv’s on this and a nice shock UV on a BKC in order to walk through Voltaic Tempest in PvP. In PvP the shock resist will help a lot in terms of the sheer amount of shocking weapons used.
Ok it would be nice to have some insight into which armor I should get for both PvE and PvP to pair with my BKC. Although I have kinda pushed out the Firefly, if you can convince me to get it I will not rule it out. If anyone can help me make a decision, that would be great!
Sidenote: Why are there sooo many Gunner Update armors? Is there any point to having that much specialization to the point where you can get a monster bonus for everything? Does anyone have them ALL?

Thanks, I guess I will go for the falcon. I do use swiftstrike and I usually am a little more cautious around those silversaps with their chain freezing tendency. I do have a Justifier armor piece and it has been pretty useful. But anyways thanks for the opinion and explanation as it helps a lot.
Based on your thorough explanation, I'd say go for the falcon.
Fire isn't going to be that big of a deal anyway in fsc (or most of the times in general), it only comes into play if you are bad or have bad connection.
Are you using the swiftstrike? Asking this for about freeze. Freeze resistance in pve is nice to have and all, but even with a full skolver, bk, etc set you can still be frozen, the only difference is going to be the duration. If you are going with others then they can just free you by shooting/hitting you; if you are soloing and have a stronger shield, you can shield up while frozen and the next attack will let you out, provided that the shield can take it. Which the swift can't always handle in t3. Dunno about ld, how much the shiv is still used, but for walking you could always just use bk armor.
Poison outside C42 is never really a big deal and as you said you already have a shadowsun if you want to use that for dan.
Btw, have you considered the other 3 'old' gunner armors? (altough deadshot imo is only good for ufsc, the sacred ghost armors are better for general usage vs undead)
The devs did go a bit overboard on allowing gun users to be able to have the best gear for anywhere. As intended, they are situational. The sacred grizzly hazard (pierce, freeze, slime) for example would be an excellent set for the ice queen sl, since most of the enemies (including the boss) are slime and freeze is all over the place. I actually did iq in that set on the preview server years ago. :D
However, most of them ARE redundant and only collectors will be making them. There are probably a few of them out there who actually made all 36 sets.
