Pretty simple really. Minerals can be deposited into guild treasuries, and potentially can be used to craft or purchase furniture, or perhaps are used for something more.

While we're at it, furniture made out of Minerals would be rad as heck. Think along the lines of the lower-tierred Shard Bombs, that incorporate a design that has crystals growing out of it in a handy way. Could tie well into the gempromos.

BUT YEAH, THIS WOULD BE NEAT. Would be a really cool means of creating other community events in the same vein of Hera vs Cronus, where the goal is to collect a higher number of minerals than the enemy.
