As for the actual bit, recovery tickets are supposed to be expensive, as some accessories easily cost more than the price of unbind. You aren't supposed to take things off after you put them on, otherwise players would be shifting items around all the time. You need to commit to it when you put it on.
Luckily you can preview the costume should you have all the pieces within preview range (inventory, AH), so it's not like you have to put it on to find out it looks bad!
