Hello all,
My friend Ty-killer was recently scammed by someone ,
He gave him 25k to buy a recipe since he had just joined in depth 23, but the guy took off.

My hope is my freind can get his money back and this guy can get banned.

You'll have to send in a support request for this kind of thing, it won't help on the forum.

Might wanna take the name out of the post

I know it sucks that he was scammed and I'm totally on your side, but it might be best to take the scammer's name out of the post, because you can get a ban for name shaming. It would be even worse if the scammer got you banned too so I'm just trying to help you out.

If memory serves, it has to come from the one that has the issue; you're not able to send a ticket on behalf of someone else. Your friend would need to visit the Support Portal and go from there.

at least it wasn't more

25k may sound like a lot but I can grind that in a day

I still hate scammers though so maybe get your buddy to submit a ticket.

Scammers are annoying, but it's just something that you have to be mindful of. For everyone seeing this, I'd just suggest that you try to make as few "trust" trades as possible, especially with random people. (It's different if you know them.)

So...in the case where someone would be trying to sell me something from Basil, I would say, "When you're done with the mission, meet me in Haven 3 and we'll trade" or something like that. It may be a little awkward and/or time consuming, but it's worth it IMO.

I think I heard that the GMs don't ban people over broken promises, so they'll probably be unable to help. Once I freaked out over a new, "trustworthy" Officer raiding the entire guild storage and messing up EVERYTHING in our guild hall. This wasn't against any rules, though, and the GMs wouldn't lift a finger. (For the better, mind you. We eventually sorted it out, and the story has a happy-ish ending.)
