Fire, Fire Everywhere...and not a drop to...wait...nevermind...

Some people see a support message about the fire being broken as a sign to keep away from those levels or to gear appropriately.
These people are not me.
I say: Look! I've got a shield!
They say: "Your shield looks a little cold"
If you have any cool screenshots having to do with the recent fire issue post 'em here.
They just want to make sure you're comfortable.
''Oh wow, that is seriously scary. I haven't seen it go as bad even in Tier 3.''
They're not even supposed to know that attack, at all.
That's the Tier 3 Red Rover attack.

How to get some Steam : just apply some fire :-)
I visited those guys some hours ago. With recent energy prices, I really didn't mind recruiting all the robo warriors in the level. It was so hilarious, I added the two in my inventory too. Try that lvl while it's still hot, people, best bug that ever happened! :D
Yh i did this lvl yesterday, with 2 fresh out of the box steam noobs i wanted to show what T2 looked like.
I sure as hell wasn't expecting this. My Skelly gear didn't help either....
They were impressed tho :D
What I don't get about those fire goblins attacks is why the fire changes direction? Can't even dodge the damn thing. A Homing flame thrower is no weapon I ever heard of...

I encountered that exact same scenario not too long ago. Thing is, they were there waiting for us when we got to the party button from the elevator- it's not like we spent ten minutes waiting around. That said, I fried most of them with my Storm Driver (it was slow going, but there was no mender present thankfully) and then busted out with Divine Avenger charge attack after stepping on the button.

I had the exact same thing happen Pringer. Walked straight to the party button from the elevator and they were already waiting. Unfortunately I'd decided to also use this time to practice a bit with the vile striker so no DA. Luckily though I'd brought my silent nightblade and was able to use the charge attack to rush my way out of the gate and then kite them all over the level.
Aboshan...oddly I too was wearing skelly gear (wearing spiral demo suit and cyclops helm as costume). Each time I was hit with fire it stuck on forever. I immediately missed my Vog. I had my silversix but lacked the patience to sit and snipe 'em.
I have a couple of theories regarding the homing flame thrower (which, as Loki said is actually the T3 Red Rover attack):
Theory 1: They use genetically engineered fast moving mini-snipes that leave an oil trail (similar to the slime trail left by snails). The fire coupled with their size hides these snipes from casual observation. Lastly, as we all know, snipes naturally love Knights and will flock to them -> Proof.
Theory 2: It's Magic!

They also should make the intire level a fire trap, but it would always be on.
Remember: Don't stand in the fire.
I also can't count the number of times I've said, "Don't stand in the spikes," but that's another story.
I'm always running around like a headless chicken... on fire. I usually set THEM on fire to see how they like it with my fireburst and pepperbox. The fire is not homing, it just ricochets off walls and stuff, just watch the path and you can easily dodge it, unless you're surrounded...
It's been a very cold spring here in Idaho, so I welcome the warm-up. Fortunately I'm very fire resistant. I didn't quite hit the screenshot button quick enough, but you pretty much can't even see me in my picture of the inferno. My favorite parts are the in-picture caption: "FIRE!" and the way the fire dances across empty space.

I had much better chances for a screenshot, but considering taking a screenshot gives me a minute long lagspike, I just settled for what I could get. :P
This particular decon zone consisted solely of Scorchers with no gremlins in the cages. There was a ton of them, at one point the swings from my Avenger were hitting 6 Scorchers at a time... and that wasn't even half the crowd. :x
Chaotic, but fun. If Tier 4 happens, I want its decon zones to be like this. :P

DAMN! O_O
That would be epic to survive...but crazy as Hell. Oh your poor CE!!! X_X

I had that scene in the same level, where they met me at the entrance gate. About 15 of them. And I'm wearing Seraphic Mail. *pillar of flame* I wish I'd had a screenshot of it, but I was too busy swearing and trying not to die...

Kettelfish: That fire dancing across empty space adds further weight to my genetically engineered mini-snipe theory. Fire bouncing off walls... pfft!
Tgreyfox: And I thought I had it bad in skelly gear. Seraphic mail in there must've been ridiculous.

*sunglasses*
You're toast.
YYYEEEAAAHHHHHH!!!!!!
Oh wow, that is seriously scary. I haven't seen it go as bad even in Tier 3.
