Hey, I've had a spiral knights account for 5 years.

This game has great potential, and one of the things that is holding it back the most is optimization.
Mediocre and Lower end computers cannot run this game anymore. When I first got into T3 pvp, I could run it very smoothly. Now, Im at the point where I can't move across the map without frame freezing. I also have increased my internet power since I've started and its 50/50 that I run a FSC without disconnecting due to server failure.

I really like this game, and honestly it would be 100x better NOT if there were more reskins, more content, or even bugfixes.
This game just really needs optimization. Also, you guys are probably not funded well, so I encourage you guys to try and find funding to make this game better.

Bad news :/

The game's low fps in low end machines or even in slightly good pc's is because of the game's engine, Java. Even i have problems to play the game and my pc isn't that bad. I can't be in an overpopulated instance without getting screen stagering and fps rounding the 30-40, only in levels of the clockworks i can play with 60 fps.

WAIT wait a sec!!!

Now that i remember of, most pc's can't run properly SK because the game uses an old version of Java and it runs as a 32bit program. If your machine is a 64bit and you haven't "touched" in the game's Java folder, then you're running the game in 32bits with a machine of 64bits, which may be the cause why you run the game with low fps. There's this guide on steam (linked here: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=675719352) that explains how to change the Java folder of the game with the recent and updated Java folder and it explains how you can take better use of your system.
