Implement client-side only "offline mode"

Not sure how well this would work, but having a mode that if you play in a fully locked party by yourself (as is nobody else there and nobody can join), there's an option to handle everything client-side. It's probably much harder than I'd imagine to implement, but I'm sure anyone else living in places with godawful connections can agree it would be much appreciated.

It's a great idea, but the problem is that anything client-sided can be modified by the client, therefore you'd have to forego loot collection to play with zero lag. Most people play to progress, so this wouldn't be very popular unless the game was turned more roguelike (ie, start in proto, find gear in boxes, swap out gear as you delve deeper), but that's an entirely new game to be designed rather than a "simple" fix.

Basically, client-sided leaves options open to abuse your rewards, allow for godmode, etc. Might be fun to play but wouldn't be fair in the slightest to other players.
