Don't know what to tell you then. Have you tried verifying the integrity of the cache? Not sure if that's what you mean by the checking part.

Yeah i verified the cache and it says 18 files cant be verified. So it updatedto recover the files and its still not opening

Have you made any modifications to your game by chance, such as changing java to 64bit? I would try to roll back any changes if you can.
If you haven't modified the game, try one last restart of steam and try launching the game again. If it still fails you may want to try a reinstall to see if it works afterwards.
If you're still having trouble, try giving a look over the technical FAQ. If you still don't have a working game, try contacting support through the Support Portal. They may have some ideas to help you through there.
Mine is working fine, but I'm running on windows 10. What OS are you running on?
