ATM I am thinking of making a youtube video, which I hope will grow to a channel.
I use a MacBook Pro.
Does anyone know what applications are good for making videos? Or is iMovie the best?

ACTUAL QUESTION:
What types of videos do you think people like the most? Or what kind of video would you want to watch the most?
1.Prize Box Opening (Which I am thinking of doing for my first video celebration)
2. PvE fighting (If you choose this, please also write what kind of videos would intrest you)
3. PvP fighting (I can't get over 15k dmg LOL)
I would be delighted if everyone reading this could give a reply. Thank you! -§mithia

well

I don't do this myself, but searching the Internet for something like "YouTube game video Mac" (without the quotation marks) turned up a bunch of YouTube videos that apparently teach this skill.

As far as content goes, I vote against prize box opening. I vote for PvP. I vote for PvE, but only if you have some special angle, such as "Why isn't Nitronome popular in Heart of Ice?"

My two cents

I would probably say PvP is the best in terms of engaging content. Considering that you say you can't make 15k damage (which I could never do either), you could make videos on your slow improvement over time. For PvE it would have to be all about going off meta and trying to make things work. Of course these are all pure suggestions, feel free to disregard any of these.

depends

It really depends on what audience you want to pull in. In Spiral Knights, you have a few audiences to appeal to - primarily being the 'Meta' crowd, and the 'Entertainment' crowd.

The 'Meta' crowd are going to be people who watch speedrun videos, lockdown kill compilations with flashy editing, and other performance based gameplay. While they can be impressive, these videos aren't exactly 'entertaining' to watch, opting to show off a player's skill rather than hold the viewer's attention. While not designed to be 'entertaining', these videos certainly will draw attention with the right crowd. If you want to make a gimmick and stick to it, this is likely the better choice for content.

Examples of videos that can described as appealing to the 'meta' crowd:
Royal Jelly Palace Speedrun
Lockdown montage

Next, you have the 'Entertainment' crowd. These are people who enjoy watching Spiral Knights videos that keep them engaged. These can be funny moments, interesting gameplay, or general challenge videos. No moment is bland in these videos, and despite there not really being huge flashy editing sequences, it's interesting none-the-less. If you like to spread out content and try new things, this is likely the better choice for content.

Examples of videos that can be described as appealing to the 'entertainment' crowd:
'100 ways to die' in Spiral Knights
Tortofist-only FSC run
Spiral Knights compilation

Lastly, this isn't a huge crowd for Spiral Knights but just a general thing, but if you think you're up for it you could go after a 'personality' crowd. These are content creators that do a lot of different things (like the 'Entertainment' type) but their videos are more about their 'personality' reacting to the game rather than being about the game itself. A lot of these content creators are "Let's Play"ers, and while it's a rather large time investment, if you're up for it you could attempt that line of videos as well.

Best of luck in your videos!
