Bringing this back from a while ago since now it's a lot more relevant. Mostly a copy/paste from a previous thread I had with slight tweaks.

[New Enemy Line]

A new Beast line called “Dreamweaver”, which look similar to Silkwings but more bulky. They are little butterfly looking critters that will float around and spray status mist everywhere, but will not actually initiate an attack. Whenever they are hit, they will release a larger cloud of status mist. When defeated, they will drop a large cloud of Sleep inducing mist regardless of status variant. In later tiers, they will become faster and more unpredictable with their movement.

  • Glowing Dreamweaver (Fire)
  • Sickly Dreamweaver (Poison)
  • Frosted Dreamweaver (Freeze)
  • Sparking Dreamweaver (Shock)
  • Hazy Dreamweaver (Stun)
  • Dozing Dreamweaver (Sleep)

Now for the rest.

[Beast]

  • Drowsy Wolver (Wolver)
  • Alpha Drowsy Wolver (Alpha Wolver)
  • Lucid Lizard (Chromalisk)
  • Moon Bunny (Dust Bunny)

[Construct]

  • Hush Puppy (Gun Puppy)
  • Slumber Sap (Lumber)
  • Night Knight (Mecha Knight)
  • Restrode (Retrode)
  • Dreamerbot (Scuttlebot)

[Fiend]

  • Indolent/Indolent Overtimer (Devilite)
  • Diamond Greaver (Greaver)
  • Dozer (Gorgo)

[Gremlin]

  • Gremlin Duster (Scorcher variant with Sleep Mist)
  • Dusting Mortafire (Mortafire)
  • Gremlin Drifter (Gremlin Knocker)

[Slime]

  • Dream Drop (Glop Drop)
  • Slothful Polyp (Polyp)

[Undead]

  • Snoozing Howlitzer (Howlitzer)
  • Napper (Kat)
  • Lazy Bones (Zombie) (Perhaps it can wear a night cap. Wouldn't that be something.)
  • Languid Deadnaught (Deadnaught)
  • Listless Bombie (Bombie)
  • Silent Scarab (Scarab)

[None]

  • Hollow Soul (Soul)

yes pls

Yes to pretty much all of these. I would say that the Dreamweavers should probably drop the status mist like a bomb to give swordies the ability to take them down (IE, warning rest dot, or otherwise some attack animation). A sleep or freeze one could essentially shut down a solo swordie super fast otherwise.

blep

Very true; perhaps a swat would make it angry and glow red for a moment before releasing the cloud, or maybe it could drop blobs of dust that then break open into the clouds after a few moments. Either way, yes to the indicator.

Lumber

The sleep Lumber could also be Dreamwood, I think that sounds pretty cool

Nightime feels great

It's very interesting and It can soften us and our feelings as well. I really thought it could heal us for some strange reasons. Also playing alone is highly challenging against Sleeplike monsters

I feel like Slumber would be a good name instead of dreamwood (never mind the creator of this thread already had an idea like that)

Huh.

I just realized that if sleep is fully expanded, we'd need to get a new sleep-themed song into the game. I'm sure Harry Mack could come up with a wonderful theme, but I did a quick search to see what I could find at like, 1:30 in the morning and I think something themed off of this could work. I'm sure if I did more searching I could find a better not-so-evil sounding dreamscape music piece.

This is a few weeks old, but

This is a few weeks old, but it's a genius suggestion. I would like to see it in the game. It would be dissapointing for only the slime family to get a Sleep variant. Maybe curse enemies should be introduced too.

+1

Nice!I really liked the new monster,Dreamweaver but I think how you describe is better to categorize it as a fiend and not as a beast.I would like to see that in game..
