=================================================================================
What is Status Poker?

"Status Poker was a game created by Remexe and Mister-Chilled to implement a Gambling Game/System into the SK Economy."
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
How do you play: “The rules are Simple”
---Step one: Bet a certain amount of Crowns/CE and give it to the Dealer.
---Step two: Pick one of the five Colors: Red, Yellow, Green, Blue, White

After you choose your color, the dealer will have two chances to pick your color using the Sealed Sword’s Charge attack.

If the Sealed Sword lands on one of your colors then you double your money.

If the Dealer doesn’t land on your color then the Dealer keeps the Money.

(((SPECIAL CASE))): If the dealer’s first and second roll land on your color then you quadruple your amount of money placed.

Yea it's definitely very fun

Yea it's definitely very fun if you've got some disposable money! And even if you don't have disposable money, it's great for making money.

For those wondering, the expected value of this game is .80 (assuming all colors have an equal chance, which they honestly might not..), meaning that for every 100 crowns you put in you would expect to get 80 out of it. While this isn't that bad it certainly doesn't make sense to play either.

Basically-

1/5 * 1/5 * 4 = 4/25 (odds of 4*)
1/5 * 4/5 * 2 = 8/25 (odds of second hit being 2*, but not first..)
1/5 * 4/5 * 2= 8/25 (odds of first hit being 2*, but not second..)

Add em up (as there is no overlap and I've already weighted them by what you'd get) and we get................ 20/25 = .80!

Since .8 is rather high and some color may have a bigger portion of the wheel...

You could easily record 1000 trials of sealed swording or so to see.

The above formula can be boiled down to...

(x*(1-x)+x^2)*4 = expected value

Where x is the decimal value of the most likely color to show up (i.e. .2 if they are equal). It just so happens that when we graph this we see that x would have to be > .25 for us to gain money while playing status poker....... so if anyone wants to potentially bankrupt Remexe, they now know what to do. Remexe of course would be wise to do the sealed line testing himself, as he could make a rule where you cannot bet in favor of the most likely color, or at the very least know when to cut people off.

I really don't have a sense of fun. I'm sorry. I'll show myself out now.

Doesn't seem very fair

i mean dealer can win 4 times out of 5
while player can win only 1 time out of 5

also possibility of not getting ur mony back

ehhh

While this is neat, definitely needs to be advertised as something to do for fun and not for profits. I know Three Rings/Grey Havens have shut down things in the past when they required an "entry fee" since it has very high scam potential (imagine someone else pretending to be one of you and running away with people's money after they give it to this fake dealer).

I won't tell you how to run your game since this is a pretty great concept, but if you ever get a warning about things you may simply have to let players say what they want to put down and then if they owe the dealer crowns to have them pay to go a second time. At that point they're "paying" you to do something rather than giving you money that you can run away with, which should keep you with a nice layer of security (can always ask for people to show money in a trade window before playing).
