I recently downloaded Spiral Knights today through Steam. I logged in automatically with my Steam account and made a Character. But when I try to get into the actual game with my character I'm stuck at the loading screen where it's stuck at 0%. I also tried making an account on this site and logged in with that, but the same issue happened after making my character. I've restarted my computer, re-installed the game and reset my router. I also tested my internet and it's stable and all other games that require an internet connection are fine. I tried contacting Steam support but they were no help.

I would really like to try this game and and help or insight at all would be appreciated.

Computer Specs:

Windows 7 Home Premium (Legit)
Intel Quad Core i7 2600k at 3.3 GHz
8GB DDR3 RAM
nVidia GeForce GTX 570 (Less than a month old)

Update

I have now uninstalled the Steam version of the game and tried installing the game after downloading it directly from this site. I get to the launcher where it's "downloading data" and gives a percent and time left. I always make it to 25% with around 2:52 left on the time, but that's where it always gets stuck. I've also updated my drivers and Java and nothing still works.

Again, any help please would be great!

I have now also tried getting

I have now also tried getting in through my browser (firefox) and when the game tried to install there it doesn't move from 1% complete.

I'm still looking for any insight or help at all as to what the issues may be and any information at all would be greatly appreciated.

I still cannot enter the game no matter the method of installing/downloading.

I always get stuck at 0% loading when I click on my character to log-in.

Again any help or insight would be great or even if anyone else is having similar issues that would be good to know it's not just me.

Hi I had this problem playing

Hi I had this problem playing at a friends house. updating to the very newest video card drivers (radion in my case) seemed to help. also make sure you have the specific 32bit version of flash installed. the steam site had some helpful instructions on what to do. also check to see if you have a cisco lniksis wierless router. I can't log in at home because of this router.

Thank you for replying first of all, nice to get some feedback.
I have updated to the most up-to-date drivers for my video card (GTX 570) and I have also updated java and flash to their most up-to-date downloads.

I am behind a Gigaset Telus router and am connected wirelessly through it by way of a PCI internet card. And unfortunately I cannot connect directly to the router by ethernet cable. That being said I rarely have any issues with it besides maybe the signal cutting out every now and then but nothing that would cause this issue.

I don't know if I have any specific version of 32 bit Flash installed that is needed, but like I said I have the most up to date version for my Windows 7 OS.

It's just a slew of problems it seems as I cannot get past 0% loading if I install through Steam (after creating my character and clicking on him to get into the game/city), cannot get past 25% downloaded if I use the direct download from this site (as in downloaded the installer but won't get past 25% when I open the launcher), and cannot get past 1% download if I try to play directly through my browser. (Using Firefox, tired version 3.6 and 4.0)

I'm willing to try anything that might help and would appreciate anymore advice or suggestions.
