So while i was talking with some friends i was told about this game called Indie Games Battle. This game is constantly adding characters from all sorts of indie games and when i got curious i checked SK's steam page to see if SK was indie since i never actually checked before and sure enough i saw the Indie tag in there. What this means is that if Grey Havens really wanted to they could try getting a character from SK (Likely a generic cobalt knight) into that game! Just a thought and it doesnt have to be taken too seriously since i simply stumbled upon this so im just asking what you people think. Would you want SK to appear in other games? Also another question is "Is SK really indie?" Because you cant just trust one source cant you?
Knights in Indie Games Battle!
A cobalt knight? Silly goose! It's gotta be a Black Kat Hood with a celestial spike mohawk and regal knight vision and a hallow long feather, and a spiral demo suit with dusky node modules, a volcanic kat tail, a rose aura, floating peridots, and a barrel belly! Don't forget the Overpowered Mixmaster, of course.
In all seriousness I like this idea.
I think the knight should be equipped with gear that every player can recognize. If a newer player hears about this and goes onto IGB and sees the knight in a Black Kat set their reaction would probably be like "Wait... This is a Knight in IGB?" since they have doubtfully ever seen a Black Kat set. I do think a full cobalt set would be a good fit or maybe a Skolver set since the Wolver line has been popular amongst the newer players from what I've seen. A Chaos set would still be considered recognizable however it doesn't really fit with the theme to me. It seems less threatening for players who haven't seen the power of one in SK yet so players wouldn't really think the knight looks as powerful. The weapon would most likely be a Leviathan Blade no doubt since the Calibur line is very well known due to the player being given a calibur in the first place. For now lets see what people want first though and then think about character design later.
I'd say go ahead and ping the Spiral Knights twitter page (@SpiralKnights) and the Indie Games Battle one - see if they can work together with it!
While I'm not sure that would be something that would happen I'd love to see the cute little knights we know and love making cameos elsewhere.
