Does anyone know if the harnesses are actually good?
Do the -5% and -10% time cooldown get taken off of the original/base cooldown timer? Or does it take it off after that?
If you don't understand what I mean by that (i think) I remember the 3rd sprite skill's original timer before the skill points is 60s, and it's 45s after you fill up those points.
If I do have the -15 seconds from the skill points, does the -10% cooldown get taken from the left over 45s seconds, or the original 60s?
Sprite Harness
With an elite harness, my cooldowns are 16 seconds, 40 seconds, and 40 seconds. So it seems that the 10% comes off of the 45 seconds, not the 60 seconds.
I have an Advanced Iron Harness, and the only scenario I've encountered where an Elite Harness would be useful is when my party is killing Vanaduke too fast. In that situation, my Maskeraith's Deadly Shadow Cloak barely comes off cooldown in time for Vana's 2nd mask phase. Having cooldowns reduced by a few seconds there would be useful, but I don't think it's worth 130k crowns.
People happily pay a millions crowns so they can move 4% faster and do 4% more damage at the expense of loads of status resistance, so I don't see why 130k for 5% faster cooldown without drawbacks wouldn't be worth it.
I don't know the answer. I will try to run a test later, if no one answers before then. However,
* 45 seconds - 10% * 60 seconds = 39 seconds, while
* 45 seconds - 10% * 45 seconds = 40.5 seconds.
So the difference you're talking about is fairly small. I'm not saying that we shouldn't care, or that we shouldn't know the answer. But the answer is not as big as the harnesses being "actually good" vs. actually bad.
