Hello. In this moment, I have come upon a moderately large sum of crowns from selling a [Radiant Forge Prize Box] on the Auction House. This makes the sum of crowns in my possession rise to roughly around 225k CR from the 171k profit. Thrilled as I was, I immediately came upon a sudden roadblock—

I have no clue on what to spend these excess of crowns on. Or rather, I am indecisive on what to spend them on.

I have come here today to receive advice on what to spend these on. Currently, I am a Vanguard who has completed all of the Missions available. My equipment consists of:

-Combuster (Level 7*)
-Acheron (Level 7*)
-Grand Flourish (Level 8)

-Valiance (Level 2*)

-Nitronome (Level 1*)

-Chaos Set

-Aegis
-Swiftstrike Buckler
-Bristling Buckler

*I have not been able to consistently solo Dreams and Nightmares for the Radiants needed to heat these weapons without spending an excess of Sparks of Life. As such, I am contemplating keeping my Grand Flourish as a fully heated 4 star weapon until I am properly skilled or equipped enough to do said mission.

Seems like you want to improve your ability to solo D&N. In this case, I'd make an Iron Slug. CTR Max (from Chaos) + Dmg VH = 15 minutes per run easily, with enough practice.

You're end-game, the the start of it. This is the time you should be working to expand your arsenal to the point of being self sufficient.

Gear-wise, you should look into Iron Slug (Bacon hit the reasons why up above), make a Blitz Needle, consider a pulsar-line weapon, go after a Dark Briar Barrage and/or Torpor Tantrum, and upgrade your Bristling Buckler.

Alternatively, you could convert your newfound wealth into energy via the energy market, and either hold onto it, or try to save up 3,200 energy so you can purchase Operation: Crimson Hammer and get yourself a Rocket Hammer, a Dark Retribution, and a Perfect Mask of Seerus.

That's all of you're into progression. If you just want to spend it in general you can quickly blow through money via cosmetics. That rose promotion going on right now has some really nice looking accessories...

With no disrespect to the earlier responders, I disagree. Use your Valiance (for hitting switches) and Acheron (for killing most monsters) and your Nitronome (for the final fight) to beat Dreams and Nightmares many times. Fully heat your weapons. Do not spend any Sparks of Life.

As for what you should do with your crowns: Don't spend them now. Once you complete the exercise above, you will have a better idea. Probably you will use them to get (A) more weapons of various styles, because that's what's fun about this game, (B) ASI or CTR UVs on your weapons, or (C) status UVs on your armor.

Edit: The part of Fangel's post that recommends Operation: Crimson Hammer is good, because it helps you explore weapon styles.

I've made a mistake, I think? @Bopp @Fangel

I recently put in a few crowns to making a Magnus and a few more to get the Mega Magnus and Iron Slug Recipes seeing as I've already got a few spare elite orbs and eternal orbs lying around which leaves me with the heating of said weapons. However, as I check back onto this thread I see Bopp disagreeing with the two above statements. I think that decision might fall down onto (A) because it's a weapon of different style compared to what I'm used to... So I guess it works out? Maybe?

The decision might have skipped a step or two in Bopp's instructions. Oh dear.

Iron Slug is a powerful weapon. It's one of the weapons that you would have explored, if you had followed my advice. So everything's okay. Keep going. :)

Relevant for the Grand Flourish.
Focus on finishing heating your most used 5* weapons first. As another note, here is the 5* heating curve -- the last levels of heat provide the largest increases in damage.

I'd probably reinvest it in the auction house so that you can get more from it. When I was f2p I would buy and sell prize boxes- 100-200k at the start of an event, 300-500k 6 months to a year later. Then I would skim some off the top and craft whatever I wanted.
