Recently my attention was brought to this vintage screenshot. And while there is certainly much of interest to look at here, I would like to address this very specific tidbit.

To my knowledge this is a pose that is neither used nor found anywhere in the current build of SK. Was there a reason for its removal?
GH is probably saving that pose for some kind of 'mannerism' update, basically trying to pass off old existing assets as new contents.
Old or new, that would be cool to have (again).
Not related to reusing content, could it probably be lurking in the game files/Spiral Spy? I've never seen that emote before but that would be very interesting to be put to use.
Unless I have failed a very subtle and deeply branched spot check, none of the animations I have tried came close to what is showcased here. The game files still contain many and various leftovers from very early builds to this day, but this one is possibly written out of the lot. It is quite curious.
Probably one of those mysterious (conspiracies) lost elements that we'll never figure out unless GH decides to shed light on it. Which I doubt.
There goes a whole bunch of creative possibilities. ._.
Either GH or Nick and/or Ian could shed some light on stuff like this, the latter considering that Ian has released a few interactive models such as those of very early prototype knight armors roughly a month ago.
Perhaps the side-lying pose was deemed too stiff or unpolished? It is rather unclear with the quality of the screenshot.
I don't care about anything other than seein' this around again :p
it was probably the old animation for /sleep before they made standing sleeping.
and i agree, i want to see this again as well.
I agree with Lordcalvinheins - it looks to be a legacy /sleep animation. Then slooms and the sleep status were likely implemented, and falling asleep upright probably made more sense in a status than literally falling over with a hitbox that looks like it shouldn't be hit by projectiles or certain melee attacks.
This is still a pretty cute sleeping animation. I'd love to have a /laydown command to lay my head in someone else's lap in haven - imagine how cute that would be!
GH should make an update that adds a whole bunch of new emotes (and maybe a dance animation).
