Is there really no way to check my actual ping? Because I'd really like to know if I have 30 ping or 100 ping, because I can't tell if the game is just being shoddy or I actually have a bad connection.
The majority of other games that I play I usually have a solid 30 ping in US servers. Any idea where the servers are actually hosted for US SK? It's with Amazon or something, right?

I was told to use http://www.cloudping.info/ by a friend before I checked up on this post again, I have roughly 35 ping to the servers when my internet is at it's best. I'm sure if I ran speedtest.net it'd return similar results.

Those ping-testing sites will be testing your ping to their servers rather than to the spiral knights servers.
I find a way to gauge ping is by moving and then observing when your battle sprite starts to move, as the battle sprite will follow your movements on the server rather than your client.
You'll want to ping Ashburn, VA for a relative ping test. You can find this information on the troubleshooting page on the wiki as well, if you want to test your EU connection.
If you're running a windows machine, you can actually view your direct ping to the game via resource monitor. You'll want to open your task manager (control + shift + escape), go to the "performance" tab, and click on "open resource monitor". From there, go to the "network" tab, and make sure your game is open and you have the "java.exe" process checkboxed at the top. From there, scroll down to the TCP connections, and you should be able to view your latency (aka, ping)!
Keep in mind this may be wonky on wireless networks - I've had my laptop claim I had 20 ping before, and I was very confused since I'm nowhere near the server. My desktop computer runs at about 90-120 ping, but that's what I get for living on the wrong side of the US I suppose.
