Buccaneer Broadsider... downgrade?

I loooooove the new gear for this event. The costumes look great. The weapons look awesome.
I was checking out the Broadsider on the Russian wiki, which I grant you could be inaccurate, but it looks like this gun is essentially an Iron Slug, but without the stun?
Is there something I'm not understanding about this weapon? It doesn't feel like there's much incentive to use it, awesome as it looks, if it's just worse than the Slug.
Thoughts?

Fehzors-Forum-Alt seems to be right. I don't know why this long-standing bug is still standing.
Neither it nor Iron Slug mention anything about stun in their description. Both do have it however. Similarly, sudaruska and its variants lack a tooltip for stun in spite of causing it on their charge, as do sweet dreams and celestial saber.
