If it isn't too hard to code, please allow us to disable the trails from auras :D

I really like the gem auras and grey auras, but the trails that they leave daze my eyes and sometimes lag other players. Would it be possible to have them toggled for on-off, perhaps at an NPC?

Thanks,
Shrooms

LOL

This option already exists, it's called "changing your costume".
They are mainly made to show off so I don't really think this is a good idea...

Why is a subject necessary?

Changing your costume gets rid of the aura outright - if I'm correct he just wants the trails in the world gone, but the visuals directly around your character to stay.

:P

The aura without the trails is subtle and won't matter much so just change your costumes or get auras that don't have trails like the ghostly aura.

I think it's silly to walk into a Suggestions forum and mock someone and tell them their idea is stupid for the sole reason that it isn't necessary. How about you take the suggestion for what it is - a quality of life improvement - and not be rude to someone because you think it's unimportant.

might be nice

Either that or perhaps have the footstep/aura intensity be lowered on lower graphics settings, and/or have a checkbox for "additional effects" in the video advanced options.

The auras ought to remain pretty and flashy, but performance is important for a good number of players. Heck, aura footsteps are disabled in lockdown (pretty sure all footsteps are, actually), so it already has an implementation elsewhere in the game.
