I'm currently new to tier 2, and I'm trying to choose what armor to use. Right now I have a Wolver Set and the owlite shield. Should I stick with these and upgrade them or swap to something else?

They're good if you like to

They're good if you like to use swords... so... depends on your tastes, and also on the monsters that give you trouble...

Depends on tastes

I have the exact same set and I treat it as a general exploration gear. Or a tanking set kinda. The Wolver set line gives health bonuses while the Owlite set gives elemental resistances, so if you just want something to give you survivability, I think it works. Although depending on your playstyle (if you want to be a swordsman, bomber, gunner, want high damage, want to resist specific elements, etc) it helps to look up in the wiki and see what bonuses the different sets can net you, and be able to invest your money and energy into upgrading those.

The wolver line doesn't give

The wolver line doesn't give more health than any other line, and less than vitasuit...
There is no real "tanking" set in SK, may be heavy plate...

As said earlier wolver + owlite is a good all around swordsman set.

Thanks for the comments guys.

Thanks for the comments guys. Would two swords or a sword and gun work better for this set, or is it up to preference?

Up to preference to your

Up to preference to your fight style. At first I was used to playing with a sword and gun and became more familiar with the strange damage system here and experimented around. Since my main sword is mainly for Piercing damage, my second weapon is elemental, and it depends if I would just wanna recklessly mow down everything and get through dungeons faster (sword) or play much more slowly and carefully yet be able to survive far longer (guns).

I think that at first, in order to experiment with weapons, carrying around sword + gun or sword + bomb is nice... then, when you'll really know what you like, you can carry 4 swords if that's what you're into ;)

You may want to switch your

You may want to switch your shield if you are gonna end up doing vanaduke runs (Stun and fire effects, undead T3 boss) to a plate shiled. I just got my volcanic plate shield (5* version) and it is epic. As for armor, yur good with that. Again, if you end up doing vanaduke runs like I do, you'll want that wolver to be vog. Good luck,

In the end... You'll want to be like me.

As for swords and guns, have one of each. If you buy more slots then its free roam. For swords at T2, I'd have to say a calibur or brandish. For guns, one of the alchemers (i prefer cyro). In the end, you'll want what I have: Vog Cub Set, Grey owlite shield and volcanic plate shield, gran faust and divine avenger, argent peacemaker, graviton bomb (soon to be graviton vortex), and freezing atomizer (soon to be shivermist buster).

@BigFootM ( and everybody else) Thanks for your input. I have a Brandish right now and am planning to craft a Nightblade. Which of the alchemers pairs well with it?

Re: Your Alchemer: Actually,

Re: Your Alchemer:

Actually, especially if you plan on doing lots of JK runs, anything but Shadowtech. You plan on making a Nightblade, so you'll have a shadow damage sword. Having a second weapon that deals the same damage type is both redundant and potentially dangerous. You're going to meet enemies that are resistant to shadow damage, having one of the elemental Alchemers is good sense. Particularly in the Jelly Palace, where in addition to Jellies you'll also meet Constructs (Gunpuppies and Lumbers) which are weak to elemental, and Fiends (Silkwings) which resist shadow.

As for which one: I like the Cryotech, but the Voltech is also a good option, as the status it inflicts can co-exist with people using Firey bombs, and isn't redundant if someone else is carrying a Shivermist or something. Just don't get the Prismatech. It doesn't inflict any status, and doesn't deal any more damage than the ones that do.

@ Aziraphaile

Thanks for your input. I've crafted my Nightblade now, and I'm not planning on getting the Shadowtech. Probably will craft the Cryo when I have enough energy
