So I have been a swordsman for many years since I started playing SK, and now I have decided to make a change to pure gunner, as it seems to be a good option for my play style.
The one question is, what in you people's opinion is the best control scheme to use for single switching? I know that there have been people who have made tutorials for this, but I would like some tips from those who know and do it best.
Any tips are appreciated for my journey to pure gunner.

For single switching, I recommend just using weapon keys, as in Weapon 1, 2, 3, 4. So that in contrast to mouse scroll, it won't be as confusing or slow as to what weapon you just switched to. So with weapon keys, you'll know that Weapon 1 is your Nova Driver and Weapon 2 is your Storm Driver and you can just click once to switch to it without any issues. Also if you're at Weapon 3 and you want Weapon 1, in mouse scroll you would have to go to Weapon 2 or 4 first before you got to Weapon 1, but with weapon keys, you can just straight up switch to 1 from 3 so that's another nice thing about it.
Now I will say with dual switching, as in using two guns switching between the two of them, (depending on what type of guns) it can be little easier with mouse scroll especially with alchemers. I used to use mouse scroll for dual alchemers in LD and I had a lot of fun and success without trinkets, but I found it more practical to use weapon keys in PvE since I didn't use dual alchemers as much and I found single switching more useful in PvE. And it's just a matter of getting used to alchemers in weapon keys as well, though I still don't dual alchemers much as much as I would just single switch one alchemer.
Now as for where I put my weapon keys, I typically only use 3 weapon slots, so I use Q as weapon 1, E as weapon 2, and Shift as weapon 3. And WASD are my movement keys, it was a little awkward at first, but I got the hang of it and can still move while switching. But you most definitely don't have to follow this formula, experiment with your own keyboard and preferences and you'll be sure to find your own control scheme!
