Simple enough suggestion as it is, if you craft a new item using an old item that has heat on it, I would suggest that half or less of the heat from the old item gets transferred to the new item being created.

If this was suggested previously I apologize, I just thought of it on the spot.

anyone else have any ideas on this? Why would it make people lazy? It just provides an incentive for sticking with your gear longer.

Reason

I'll tell you why. simple factor, farming lair 1 area by using weaker lvl weapon to transfer heat to your most powerful blade. creates over farming heats for powerful weapons.

It's actually a good idea

It's actually a good idea because it provides people with a solid incentive to craft and gives OOO more money through energy.

Heat is one of the ways to

Heat is one of the ways to make it so people don't get instant all 5* equipment. As it is right now, I think heat gets generated way too quickly, I'd rather see OOO go in the opposite direction. I don't see how this would give OOO more energy sales, since people will always want to upgrade to 5* if they can.

People see that they can

People see that they can craft their old weapons for new weapons with existing energy, thus they potentially buy energy from OOO.

a requirement for 5* gear is that the piece of 4* needed for it must be lv 10 heat... it would be pointless to have that 5* piece be instantly lv 5 or more heat

Not pointless, once again it would give crafter's an immediately satisfiable and worthy reason to use up 800 energy to craft the 5 star sword or armor.

You mean a worthy and satisfiable reason aside from getting said 5* equip? Of course we're ignoring in order to get a 5* item, you need a Level 10 4* item so... There wouldn't be any additional heat added to it to begin with therefore making that post irrelevant. Unless you're suggesting you should automatically get levels on your 5* item just by crafting it. If that is the case, I fart in your general direction.

I don't see why there would be such opposition towards something that would benefit crafters, heh.

Leveling isn't that hard if

Leveling isn't that hard if you do it one at a time really.

If you put extra heat on a new item, you take away one important point of actually going to dungeons.

TBoltz, your basic argument

TBoltz, your basic argument is "OOO would sell more CE if the game was easier". If heat was transfered, people would quickly get used to it, just as if heat was made easier to get, or if multiplied each heat level number by 10.

In my opinion, OOO would sell more heat over time by increasing the the amount of heat needed. Right now leveling even 5* items to level 10 takes so little heat that it doesn't feel like an accomplishment. Increasing the amount of heat would slow down the insta-5*, which would mean people would have to learn to play the game rather than just throw money at the game.

A T2 arena will boost a

A T2 arena will boost a single 5* to level 5 heat. During this process, you gain crowns from the monsters you defeat, tokens from treasure chests, and minerals. There're also chances for items, even rare items, to drop from treasure chests. Doing an arena repeatedly will get you to level 10 heat on a 5* item within 5 runs, less if people let you leech their heat, WHILE giving you profits.

As far as I can tell, you haven't learned the basic mechanics of the game yet feel like they should be changed.

Not pointless, once again it would give crafter's an immediately satisfiable and worthy reason to use up 800 energy to craft the 5 star sword or armor.

In response to this:
What reason would that be? That it was heated at a loss in profits? That does not seem satisfactory nor worthy. That the amount of heat needed to heat up a 1* item to 10 (a paltry amount) could heat up a 2* item to 5?
From a developer's point of view, why would you reward a player to NOT play the game?

Are you suggesting to provide these services for a fee? Additional crowns or CE to retain heat?

I'm thoroughly confused as to what this suggestion was based upon.
