So what's up with the Captcha? (and what is going on with the forums?)

I never see any spambots around here, so I don't know why it was added. Is this some new standard that all forums have to abide by? Are there robots that I haven't noticed? Does the Bazaar have robots? Did Hera add it so that Cronus couldn't log in?

But I certainly dig the new Firefox-only layout and Chrome being locked out. /sarcasm

It's funny, because captchas are easier to solve by computers (note table 1 how it takes ~90ms to get the captcha right 90+% of the time) now.
