Let's be honest, Spiral Knights isn't getting any younger.

I have played this game since 2011, and it has done nothing but bring me joy and smiles to my face, when I first booted up this game on my MSI Windtouch desktop, I never would have guessed that seven years later I'd be sitting in my room now still playing Spiral Knights. I know for an almost certain fact that I'm not nor ever will I be the only old player here. What would you guys say is your best moments in the game?

For me, it would have to be either running the Firestorm Citadel with no shield, the free elevators when Mist Energy existed, and being here when the Core opened.

No s***, nothing gets younger with age bud.

Best moments are always shock fiend arenas.

I have to agree.

This game never stops being fun and exciting. Treating it as a MMO is doing the game injustice, and looking at it with a content hungry gaze will only disappoint you. Spiral Knights is essentially a completed game and treating it as such has increased my enjoyment while playing it and my respect for the people still keeping this afloat.

The day I lose this game will be a sad one indeed.

nice way to look at it

I've always enjoyed Spiral Knights for what we have right at this moment. If it's fun now, and I enjoy playing it, then I'll keep playing it. If I want to do other things I'm free to do those too. For some people exploring a game is the fun part (new adventures around every corner), and for others mastering the game is the fun part (min-maxing, for example).

While I don't view Spiral Knights as a completed game necessarily, I would still play it the way it is for a long while with zero changes because I just enjoy the game. I feel the folks who rag on the game because it's "full of potential" are setting themselves up for disappointment, as Gianor said, and while it's not a bad thing to want a game to go deeper most games never scratch the surface of what they can offer.

Spiral Knights was fun and charming when I started it, and it remains fun and charming to this day, seven years later. My favorite parts have definitely been the interactions I get to have this the awesome community along with helping folks through certain missions for the first time - it's always a joy to watch someone learn.

my best moment?

When me and some friends did a Vana run together (since I had to clear the mission) and I basically stopped Vana from doing anything with my Freezing Atomiser because I thought that being a bomber was a good idea back then.

To be honest, I kinda wish that I had more people I could consistently play with so I could get back to using my bomber (I've been playing a gunner character recently because they're broken).
