Is the last section of the 3rd arena supposed to have 80 mecha knights in it?

because there are no "elite" tier slime monsters
as far as i'm aware, the final waves of an arena are all elites. so because there are no elite slime monsters, you get elite monsters from other families, which are usually Thwackers or Mecha knights.

Managing the spawns is a pretty big part of this game, especially in arenas.
I try to keep track of which monsters spawned in which waves. I try to time the killing of the last monster so that I'm in an advantageous position for the next wave --- near the bottom of the room in general, near a mender that's about to spawn sometimes, with my back in a corner sometimes, etc.
You can perfect this by playing solo for a while. Then you play in a party and everything gets wrecked. :)
at least it wasn't a Fiend arena, then there would be 50 greavers, which is the incarnation of hell on the cradle.
And god forbid of it was shock themed.

I actually find greaver arenas much easier now-a-days. Why? Stand in the center of the final wave, have all 12 greavers rush you in the center... And throw a stun vial once they're all there. You stun them all (fiends are weak to stun), flinch their attack, and then have free reign to punch a bunch of damage into them all at once especially if you have a heavy sword or bomb.
But yeah, that final wave should only spawn once literally every other wave is completed, so you should only be bum-rushed by 12 elite monsters. Here's a handy list on all monster spawns in the game that I made: https://i.imgur.com/v8zxHxt.png
It should be noted that while some monsters in the "special" area may not seem special, they only have predetermined spawns and cannot spawn in place of any other monster. Additionally, despite the wiki labeling gremlin knockers as "minis", the will only spawn in places where other "grunt" tier monsters spawn - since this is a list based on spawning behaviors, I knockers are classified as grunts.
We really ought to have more variety for certain areas - beasts only have 3 sections covered, and really need to cover more ground. The red outlined sections in the picture indicate what type of monster the damage type is lacking in, and some areas where it may be beneficial to add something more to the game.

B) You're complaining about the last wave of arena, you really shouldn't be. It's like one of about 5 even mildly challenging arcade sections, and the reward is somewhat meaningful for it... plus it's an optional "dangerous" area marked by a sign saying that it's "dangerous", and it's like 30 years old from when there were no battle sprites, no chaos sets, no mixmaster/orbitgun if you're rich, there are ants crawling up my legs and I need to solve that problem instead of typing this to you ok I'm going to go deal with the ants bye
