Danger Missions

They currently aren't worth doing for the following reasons:

1. Very hard
2. Little loot
3. Not deep enough for radiant fire crystals

I got 3 simple ideas that can help with this problem:

1. Make it like the Grinchlin Assault's final treasure room that has a single box in the middle that has a chance to contain a gear piece matching the theme of the mission. For example...

C42: Vile Striker, Ash of Agni, Deadly Virtulisk Mask, etc...
GitM: Volt Driver, Volcanic Plate Mail,Grey Owlite Shield, etc...
HoI: Glacius, Wild Hunting Blade, Mega Magnus, etc...

And so on...

Only include the items that can be obtained from HoH so it will be a buff for newer players looking to expand their arsenal but not worth that much for veterans. Also make it only T3 gear (4* and 5*) so it'll be at least worth a bit, you don't wanna do 15 danger missions in 15 days to get a Brandish or a Shadowtech Alchemer.

2. Make it deeper so that the treasure floor is on D28.

3. Give extra rewards for completing it like a bunch of crystals and an orb matching the knight's rank upon completing the mission. Like...

Knight: 5 Warm Fire Crystals and 1 Simple Orb of Alchemy
Defender: 5 Shining Fire Crystals and 1 Elite Orb of Alchemy
Vanguard: 5 Radiant Fire Crystals and 1 Eternal Orb of Alchemy

And so on...

But.. the mission is for the veterans, no? I mean I already have all the things they'd be giving out and they'd just go on auction house... I'd appreciate this but wouldn't really bat an eye too much. What I want would be like a .001% chance of the third troika or a mixmaster or something epic like maulos's maul. I can dream.

I like this idea. I don't think they'll do it because they want us to grind for 20 hours or something, but again I can dream of getting actual rewards.

3. 5 Radiant Fire Crystals and 1 Eternal Orb of Alchemy

I mean I'd be down for this but the rates are a bit odd there. It takes 3 orbs to craft and 453 rads to make a fully finished 5* gear piece. Perhaps you could either give just like 20 rads and no orb of alchemy or something? For reference, I have 260 someodd orbs and next to no 5* fire crystals.

On another note, new players SHOULD NOT be given access to danger missions. I've watched several streamers.. they all wanna try the fun content out and then get beat into the ground. This isn't good for anyone...

1. I've seen many Defenders/Defender Elites doing danger missions and some are even good at it but they can't get past hall of heroes that easily, and no, making them drop this rare gear is kinda crazy and will persuade some people to kill themselves farming (AKA: me xD) it's only there to get people new to T3 to do them and it shouldn't be very uncommon I suggest around 5% for a gear drop.

I agree with that, it should be available only to T3 players (Defender rank and above).

I believe prestige missions should give you rewards alongside prestige (such as fire crystals), but increasing its depth is not mandatory. The box room is on D26, and that is OK for a relatively quick mission in a proper party.

For a 2 floor mission, the rewards are pretty good. I do agree that perhaps a special token could be given to players who complete the danger missions that could be exchanged for some things, but other than that

Yes, they do fly by when a competent party attempts them, as does every other level in the game.

I just find this is not usually the case.. what I see happen more often is a below average party fall apart, people not willing to go on the missions because they're scared, and myself carrying corpses around. This puts them, in my eyes, on the same level of difficulty as Dreams and Nightmares, which ends on D28 and is of similar length if not shorter.

Moving them to depth 28 would have the same effect as just handing the player fire crystals for completing them, and would even make the missions a bit harder, which is why I advocate so strongly for it.

No, it's not a quick mission, not at all. And the 2 floors contain a lot of scenario rooms, they're so packed with scenario rooms it can be considered a 4-floor mission just a bit easier due to less depth thus not giving enough crowns to compensate for it. I don't even want all these crystals. What will I do with them even Defenders wouldn't care about Shining Fire Crystals much since they're just so common.

Danger missions are harder than D&N and take longer and they give less rewards which is the reason I've made this suggestion. My most preferred suggestion is to make it deeper because that'd also give more crowns and make it a bit harder but more worth doing. Just 2 depths won't hurt a lot but they'll sure be so rewarding, a lot more than D&N. This balances the reward-to-effort ratio IMO.

Having the boxes be deeper won't be as great as you'd expect. Half the boxes in danger missions end rooms are not normal prize boxes, and instead drop only crowns or heat. Because of this, a later depth may only net you 15 or so radiants even at depth 28. Having the missions be earlier in the stratum actually makes the missions more dangerous since you cannot get larger vitapods, which from looking at Dreams and Nightmares, is one way OOO/GH has decided to make difficult content difficult.

This is why a baseline of rarities awarded to players who completed the mission in full would be significantly better. 15 radiants for completing the proper rank mission would be a small but worthwhile reason to play through the missions. I would even say 20 or 25 radiants for mission completion would be better since it allows players to actually see progress as they play these missions, whereas 15 seems like a small amount to most players.
