spiral knights its a great game! if it could be launched in android or ios users it would be great! I know the game makers need to do some work but many players would love to play also the old players who left the game may rejoin as they can play it anywhere and i'm sure some people like me must be mssing this game. It would be a new life to the game! thats all as i don't want to make it long but i am really wish to see such a game on mobile as the mobiles of todays time (2018) can support such games also there is good internet to play it! I wish to see this major update soon! ~Lunar-Moonbows
New Life To The Game!
They may never do it but if they do the spiral knights would be 10× times more fun we can connect from where ever we are we don't always need a laptop or PC for playing it as now many mobile comes with 2-4 Gb of Ram and other stuffs like 4G connectivity, etc. in 2018 even cheap phones under 150$ would have atleast 2-3Gb rams and avg processors which i am sure that its good for running the game even if they add something new or upgrade the graphics! or maybe spiral knights will just be like this and the prize boxes will come and go... thats why many of my friends left the game! i want to even if they there are some bugs i'll wait till they fix it! I just wish to see this major update!!! Thanks for the reply ~lunar moonbows.
I don't think it would be that impossible to do, but then neither would most of the fixes etc. that we're asking for and this is much much larger.
While I would love to take SK on the go with me, the changes that would need to be made would be like building a whole new game. Maybe if Grey Havens rebuilt SK in Unity or something they could create a port for mobile devices, but I don't foresee re-creating an entire game that took years to even start happening anytime soon.
That being said, control scheme would be odd. Most mobile games have a hard time figuring out controls, and having the knight have the following actions: move, attack, defend, dash, bash, use sprite abilities, use toolbelt items, open level map, etc just don't exactly strike me as being very mobile friendly. Recreating the menus is something that could be done, but it may be a pain.
Overall, I believe a re-creation of the game would be a net positive due to many java related issues, but it's not something that's likely to happen in the near future.
shhhhh i'm the obligatory jaded veteran that tells you to not expect too much from the devs at any given point in time
come sit around the campfire and complain with us desu
but for real, your enthusiasm is appreciated. Optimism is a virtue.
