As someone who has....an unhealthy amount of certain crystals... I'd like to ask, is this simply a test that will later include all the other fire crystals as well? While I do wish we could up-craft our crystals, this seems like it could be the next best thing.
Cracked fire crystals now sellable?
I didn't even notice, but I probably don't even have cracked fire crystals because I basically never play tier 1.
Yeah it just struck me as weird when I saw the anouncement. At first i was like "Woah, a chance to get rid of useless fire crystals!? Nice! Alright, let's see how many I.....oh.....I have one....welp.", it really gave me hope that the other fire crystals would be sellable eventually too.
Why make them sellable when they can be more useful? They can just make a new upgrading system where you need three times as much crystals of the lower tier to craft the higher tier ones. Example: 500cr + 9 Shining Fire Crystal = 3 Radiant Fire Crystal
because they want people to buy their overpriced 700e rads
If that's the case then they can make us able to upgrade and downgrade crystals at the expense of them being rarer, not just Radiant Fire Crystals. So basically make Radiant Fire Crystals drop as much as they did before the drought (only depth-wise) at the expense of all the crystals being rarer. That'll influence that rich people who don't wanna grind to still buy their crystals but poorer people will grind for crystals of any star level and crowns to be able to upgrade/downgrade them the way they wish. I suggest this happens with orbs of alchemy as well but with more alchemy fee (double is fine I think) and only makes 1 orb from 2 when upgrading and 2 from 3 when downgrading.
Examples:
Radiant Fire Crystal recipe (upgrade ): yields 3
7 Shining Fire Crystals + 500cr
Shinning Fire Crystal recipe (upgrade): yields 3
7 Glowing Fire Crystals + 400cr
Shinning Fire Crystal recipe (downgrade): yields 5
3 Radiant Fire Crystals + 400cr
I'd imagine that it's a test, because it costs more to make cracked fire crystals than to sell them.
