Make us able to change our quickslots.

Title.

For example, i like having health and remedy capsules at 4 / 5 because they are the ones i find most important. But as i cant change the quickslots sometimes they end up on 6 / 7 / 8 ... etc.

In order to solve this issue, we could be able to reallocate the stuff in our quickslots. It could help the player a lot sometimes

You can swap pickups in their slots. If you've got Poison Vial in the 1st slot and Health Capsule in the 3rd, you can grab the Health Capsule with your mouse and drop it in the 1st slot where the Poison Vial is. The only thing you can't do is drop your pickup in an empty slot. So if you would use that Poison Vial in the 1st slot, you wouldn't be able to move your Health Capsule there. It would be nice if you could do that. Or drop pickups on the ground. All of this was possible when loot was shared between players.

Actually we need to be able configure priorities for quickslots

Different methods would be possile to configure priorities for quickslots, but some of them would be very complex to implement and others would change the game mechanic.

A way that wouldn't change much of the game mechanic, but would be optimal for players, is for players to be able to choose one favorite pickup per quickslot. If you pick something up and a free slot has it as favorite, it goes there. If a different slot is free, but not the one that favorites the pickup, the contents will be swapped, so the new item will go to the slot that favors it and the old non-favorite will be moved to the free slot instead. There is just one problem left: There are 3 kinds of most pickups (standard, Super, Ultra). I would suggest that the stronger one will always be favored above the others, so if you pick up both - Super and Ultra Health Capsules, Ultra would go to their favorite slot and Super would be treated like it wasn't a Health capsule, but any other pickup, until you used all Ultra, then it will be moved to the free slot. This is probably kinda medium hard to implement.

Another different approach, is for a player to rate each vial. For example: With stars or numbers. The higher the stars/number, the more a pickup wants to go to the left Quickslot. So, if you rated everything with 1, except Health with 3 and Remedy with 2, a Health capsule you pick up will always move all others to the right and take the leftmost slot. A remedy capsule would move all, except a health capsule and would end up in 1st or 2nd slot. The developer would just apply a sorting by rating and put the pickups in the appropriate slots whenever a new one is picked up. In this example, this just leaves the problem, that sometimes a remedy capsule is in the slot you expect a health capsule in. This way is probably more easy to implement tho.

There are much more ways to do this. You could for example combine the two methods from above and have a rating for all pickups per slot.

A way that fundamentally changed the game mechanic, would be for players to be able to lock slots for just one type of pickup. Such a slot would stay empty until you picked up a health capsule, for example. It could be made so that players can only lock up to 3 slots, so that they could still use up all things in slot 4 to pick up another different item.
