Any word yet on a possible workaround, or what exactly caused this series of routers to suddenly stop supporting this game?
It definitely isn't that the router itself is too weak- I agree that it certainly isn't the best, but I can play games that are even more online-intensive just fine...
Also, by workaround I don't mean installing additional firmware to my router or plugging directly into my modem, because neither of those are an option for me. Any ideas?

just gotta wait till they fix what they broke telling people to buy a new $60 router or installing THIRD PARTY FIRMWARE are not viable options just need to wait till they fix it which will be more than likely never because they seem to think its our hardwares fault that it doesnt work properly.

OOO as a company hasn't told anyone to mess with their devices or buy new ones. These are all unofficial user workarounds. They are working on it. Just remember that this is a small team, they can't turn around and go "Ta Daaa~ fixed!"

The whole thing started on the first June patch. The 7th, I think. That's the one that borked it all for people of a certain router.

I re flashed my router and it's still not working so don't expect that to be a silver bullet.
also, don't be too down folks, the service team has been quick and polite about responding to my e-mails. in short [crap] happens.

It did start all at once, but
It did start all at once, but at the same time there's been scattered reports of un-solvable log in problems for ages. IT was just when one user isolated it to using a WRT54G over wireless did this balloon so much.
buy a new router or wait for the patch to drop.
