Just wanted to say that it's super awesome to hear that the backend stuff has come to a close! I've been curious about what's been going on behind the scenes, and while I know specifics aren't something that can always be talked about, knowing what the current work being done, or where it's at, is something I love to be in the know about.

Backend work, while not glorious, can be quite the doozy if not properly taken care of. While I'm not certain on specifics, seeing certain new things come to light in the game (such as situational animations on weapons and cosmetics) has me super excited about what that can mean for future items and content.

Wanted to give a much needed thanks to y'all working behind the scenes as I know that most things that are not glorious often go unthanked. ❤

no kidding

I was waiting for the official announcement discussion thread. (Do we still have those?)

Anyway, it's a really pleasant surprise to get this release on a Saturday, with news (albeit vague news) about the progress of the game, the bug-fixing, etc.

I feel like a broken record saying "we would appreciate a bit more communication!" I'd prefer if this news came from a forum post or something, rather than a GM on his day off. Just pop in and say "yo we're doing some stuff behind the scenes" would be enough.

That said, it is nice to know that there is at least *something* happening.

EDIT**

@Fangel
Well shush my mouth I did not realize that! Apparently I am blind and stupid!

oop!

They do mention it in the announcements post here: https://forums.spiralknights.com/en/node/120285

Hearing the word from Cronus himself was just the icing on the cake!

I'd love to have a few sneak peeks into things once we have them again like we did with tortodrones all those years ago...
