Your number 2 is not an unpopular opinion, so many people use blitz needle
- If you can coordinate your Blitzers, using a Shiv against Vana is fast and efficient.
- The Roarmulus Twins and the Ironclaw Munitions Factory is faster, more fun, and easier than the Royal Jelly Pallace. The traps are always the same, every time. Maybe if it's your first playthrough, Roarmulus is harder, but once you know the place it's a breeze.
- About 40% of the players who are wearing full Chaos should probably not be wearing full chaos. About 60% of Chaos users would be better off mixing Chaos with other armor sets.
- Gunner armors are better than people give them credit for.
but imf doesn't pay as well so it's worse automatically! /s
Tier 3 gun pups / Howlitizers / Polyps are easier to dodge than their Tier 2 versions
I didn't think that was an unpopular opinion, except for Polyps.
Suda is one of the few weapons I can say is actually balanced properly, also it's a fun weapon.
@Crazee
The thing is, with T2s, the bullets dont separate much, on T3, from a medium distance you have way more room to go through them.
weapons other than acheron and blaster line guns are viable in lockdown
I dont think that is unpopular
I see Sealeds, Alchemers, Magnuses, Flourishes, * cough * Pulsars, and usually the Rocket Hammer really often.
Most people i see using Brandishes ( Acheron ) dont even use the Charge Attack. ( For some reason. Its a instant kill if you get it right )
acheron + blaster + max damage boost = no casual gameplay
another take: autotarget is counterproductive
>Aim a good charge attack into a crowd with autotarget on and ill be impressed
>Hit anybody who is strafing in lockdown with autotarget and ill be impressed
IMO its more rewarding to learn to play without it
acheron + blaster + max damage boost = no casual gameplay
I don't understand this opinion. What does it mean?
- Shivermist Buster is not worth the time or cr/ce to make it. Torpor Tantrum : Shivermist Buster :: Acheron : Amputator
- Compounds are enjoyable
- "New" Shards are more fun and more interesting than Old Shards. (Obv old shards are still better overall :/ )
in the set i play lockdown in i get killed by 2 basic attacks of a max damage acheron (i don't use much shadow defense). Thus, i have to outmaneuver or else i get killed pretty much instantly. When i don't put out large amounts of effort i usually can't outmaneuver the people who play acheron, because they are usually very good.
It's less an opinion and more a complaint about the meta
You die in 2 hits?
Then kill them with one. Acheron charge instakilling 4 life. ( At least for Strikers )
It's nearly impossible to play lockdown at 1-2 bar without autotarget. At least against lower ping players.
-volcanic pepperbox is best gun
-have never crafted a brandish and if i do i won't use it
-och is best grinding mission
One year without updates, that's mean that they are working on something big
1. SK's small community is a positive, not a negative:
With the rise of Discord among other things, the SK community, while small, is growing tighter and tighter. Our small size is what keeps the toxic people away, and our closeness and ability to form genuine connections with each other is what makes the SK community so special.
2. The Lockdown community is NOT toxic:
Everyone keeps saying how toxic the Lockdown community is, and for the longest time, I believed them. After all, that's all the information I was ever fed. I eventually started to doubt myself, and I had an epiphany. If you want to call someone "toxic", it'd first important to understand why they're like that, and where that behaviour comes from. Also, since I started playing LD a lot, they've all been really nice to me :)
3. RT is the most fun boss in the game:
Jelly King and Vana are mainly "hit the boss as hard as possible" battles, and Snarby is way too easy (unless you're using T1 gear). RT forces creative thinking, puzzle skills and cooperation. Also, tbh, shock adds to the excitement of the level instead of making it "annoying" for me.
4. Chaos is overrated:
While Chaos is still my favourite armor set, I really don't get the worship it gets. You can take sets such as Sacred Firefly Shade or Sacred Falcon Keeper, sacrifice a small bonus, and go from horrible resistances to great resistances. Yeah Chaos may seem fun at first, but try saying that while you're on fire or shocked.
5. I really couldn't care less about weapon "viability":
SK weps are designed in a way for you to get fun out of whatever weapon you use, whether it be ridiculous DPS hitsticks like Acheron, goofy but awful swords like Fang of Vog, or tactical weapons with high skill ceilings like shard bombs or alchemers. Use whatever you like!! (Except Amputator, CIV or Graviton Vortex. Those are TRAAAAAASH)
- Using the Warmaster Rocket Hammer charge is not that bad
- I like fighting against fiends in general (fighting them isn't as braindead as fighting against other monsters), also in close-range
- I don't quite like the speedrun meta (Black Kat Sets, MSI), eventhough I use it myself
- Gathering moon- and valestone in hope that their battle sprites will be released asap > gathering the three main ones (while you don't sell any sprite good or you don't have any battle sprite to feed, I even see people not taking a mineral at all)
- I prefer ASI over CTR on brandishes
- Troikas are pretty fun
- I don't like Voltedge
- It's fun to dodge Howlitzer skulls
- I dislike the spark system, you can just gather a lot and never die really (also p2w lmao) - the earlier system supported much more co-op
- I'd like to see more enemies dealing sleep and curse
"I dislike the spark system"
I thought this thread was supposed to be UNPOPULAR opinions
My favorite place in this game is Dark City. I just LOVE fighting devilites, kats and trojans. They're just so fun to fight while not being supported by any heavily damaging or annoying statuses except poison and stun, this place is just PERFECT for enchanting your skills. I'm actually crafting a fallen set so I can fight them for a longer amount of time (not the main reason, it's cause of immunity sets and to pair with black kat but having more practice time against fiends is always great for me).
Regarding the spark system... I don't really think anybody likes it. It's the reason the solo meta appeared, you don't get much help from your allies regarding your survivability and you have a free revive per depth.
You want to craft a Fallen set to fight fiends? Are you aware that each piece has a fiend damage penalty -2? I ask because in 2011 I crafted the same thing before realizing what it meant.
-Pulsars are not nerfed by the gunner update, in some aspect, they are stronger now in their intended role.
-Flourish's charge attack is better than the snarble barb's if used properly.
-Glacius is more useful than Combuster.
-The new gunner gears are a travesty, instead of having pros and cons that makes a player carefully consider which one to wear and synergise, now you just have to wear the ones you need and craft accordingly, completely ruining any strategic thinking.
-It is a shame the whales of this game didn't just use their money as leverage and collectively boycott GH to make them learn a lesson, I guess in the end they just wanted a never ending chain of prize boxes.
-Any hope for SK's returning to glory was well and truly dead when SEGA dropped it, SEGA is known to give developer plenty of ropes, and it seems OOO hanged themselves (and what is up with rise of knight anyway? Talk about a waste of time)
We got right amount of gear sets in gunner update.
@Bopp
I'm aware of the fact that fallen set makes you do less damage to fiends, it's one of the reasons I'm crafting it, it's actually for making immunity sets and training in fiend levels. Fiends are the most difficult monsters to fight so making them last longer against me would provoke more strategical (or whatever the word is) thinking rather than storming in and killing everything. It won't be used as much in normal levels anyway nor in serious play of course.
DBB is not a good weapon against greavers.
Nova and Umbra drivers are the only weapons you need. You can effectively take on any enemy with just these weapons, and be competitive in lockdown. For the slow, obviously they are not optimal for every single mob type, but they will work.
With the small community of Spiral Knights, only the truly dedicated players remain. In this way, we see fewer trolls and toxicity. So with tight and small player base, most of the players out there are helpful and supports the game to live long
1. A lv 1 5* should automatically do more damage than a 4* lv10
1. Radiants should drop all along stratum 6 from D24 and under instead of D26 and under
