Wierd solution to slightly counter latency on LD (and maybe PVE)

I'm tired of getting hit/assassinated by swords on LD 3-5 tiles away, and getting hits before the full swing animation ends.
Maybe we should have an illusion of our own character (only the user can see it) which is action delayed that depends on our ping / or maybe we can set it. I watched Tennis' video of LD gunning (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c2KkLVeviFY) with 2 bars and I can see his latency symptoms, but mine is like 1.5x - 2x delayed as I have 1 bar. This is a very wierd solution but it might be helpful so we can see if we are really out of the opponent's attack range or not. I really want to improve on LD and this might help ppls with huge latency problems.

It works like there's a transparent clone copying your previous actions/movements behind. Might make a photoshop pic for this.
That drone idea sounds cool lol.
I don't know if seeing the past animation of other players would help. It should be the future animation since we only see the past but I'm pretty sure its impossible.

I'm not exactly a tech person but I think that clone thing might be impossible as well, that's why I suggested the drone idea. Even if the clone idea was possible I wouldn't like it, it's just gonna make things seem more hectic and it'd be harder to focus having 2 close characters making delayed moves, the drone idea wouldn't help so much either but at least you're gonna know how you died and learn what's the range you should watch out for.

I learned the range, I thought it was almost the same with Tennis that plays with 2 bars from his video but mine is like 3x worse.
I took the advice from Retired-by-Chasern by watching how Tennis plays, but its no use... I would take full combos if I'm gonna copy him.
I tried tons of play styles, either self-invented or suggested by helpful ppls. Welp there's no more room for improvement for me unless I play offensively with swords, kiting or luring ppls isn't the type of playstyle for laggy ppls.
I've been playing LD for a long time and I'm almost done being the sandbag and getting laughed at. Tnx for all the ppls who tried to help me.
I might quit LD forever sooner or later, or quit this game.

I took the advice from Retired-by-Chasern…
I'm pretty sure that guy got good latency, he usually hits me from so far away, I usually don't take advice from people who got good latency cause I know that they don't know how it feels like to play with bad latency.
There still are some playstyles you didn't try yet, have you tried bombing? It's pretty fun although can get boring if everyone in the lobby has a gun and doesn't even engage you. Another playstyle is being overly aggressive with swords, not just aggressive, be as aggressive as you can when using swords, the wait and parry playstyle won't work cause latency, the timing is just so hard in a fast paced game but being overly aggressive helps a lot. Approach with striker boost and hit before they can even react.

Ok so, here's my view on lockdown...
I've recently got an internet upgrade so this is much better than what it used to be like, it was hardcore weekend so I wasn't able to do much, as you see sword swings pass through certain people even at very close range and gunshots don't land except on either completely standing still targets on players who are just dashing straight into me. Also since it's hardcore weekend some players who use AT much have less range. It also depends on the players present if you notice in the vid I try to avoid engaging some players up close as much as possible while dashing towards others full offensive. It's cause I understand that that player has got the range advantage over me.

That smooth gameplay though, I wish I can screen record on LD, I tried once but it makes the lag worse.

Well, luckily, I don't usually have problems FPS-wise, but that still doesn't help, whether I have 50 FPS or 100 FPS the latency will still cap my ability, I'll record once during normal times when hardcore weekend isn't there so I can show you how I play with autotarget.
BTW for recording I use the default recorder that comes with Windows 10 it doesn't make me lag as much as other recorder apps like bandicam.

This is AT gunning I had a couple matches before these where Interse was on the opposite team and one thing I can tell you is that I couldn't even move whenever he appeared on my screen. He was literally everywhere, wherever I go I get bodyblocked from his ghosts and with ASI VH BTB and an Antigua I couldn't even stand the slightest of chances, I wish I could record that so you could see how BS it was but for some reason the recorder didn't come up.

I've wished for latency-dependent invincibility frames times to be a thing. Lockdown wouldn't be as bad if having high ping meant you had more time to recover. More often than not if I get hit once I'll get hit again because my character doesn't move or attack when I tell them to after getting interrupted by an attack. Having a split second longer of invincibility time would mean I could counterattack, and also means folks with even worse ping wouldn't be subject to annihilation via one person with a UV'd sword.

Oh, that'd be great, but... ummm... can it even be done?

It seems the most versatile of the solutions. Latency should be known by the server, so when you are hit there can be a logarithmic equation that increases your invincibility frames. This number could cap out at a full extra second of invinciframes.
This helps both in PvP, but also in PvE, where sometimes if you're lagging around, you can get combo hit by monsters at no fault of your own.
TBH IDK how this works but if you can have a shadow at the location you're supposed to be, might as well remove the shadow and put your character there... I do something similar when playing PvE on USA server, the pet follows my original position not my current one so I have an idea of where I'm supposed to be on the screen. Maybe they can put something like drones that mimic this behavior but only in LD and you have the option to turn them off, of course only YOUR drone will be visible to you, you can't see other people's drones, it should look like the battle sprites in the laboratory the ones before they mutate into our 3 current pets. I also suggest a new death animation, instead of just vanishing away, the drone scans you then you vanish into the base. You should see this animation on other players as well, not only yourself.
