Onslaught is my concept for a new Coliseum gamemode. Currently, the Coliseum has two games, and while they're both good in their own right, I think it's time for a new gamemode.

Onslaught features the head to head combat style not unlike that of Lockdown. Two teams will face against each other with one goal in mind: Get the most points. Players may get points by either fighting other players, or by capturing flags. People can choose between one of two classes that will help aid them in combat - Warrior, a class that specializes in melee combat, or Ranger, a class that specializes in ranged combat.

Summary:
The game can be played with 4-8 people, who will be randomly divided into two teams at the start of the game. The goal is to gain the most points before the time limit runs out, either by fighting other players or by capturing an enemy banner. If a player is killed, they'll drop the banner and it will remain in place for a short amount of time, allowing a teammate the opportunity to try to pick it up again.
Players will pick from two different classes that can help them out in battle:
Warrior
Gives players buffs that allow them to be a more effective melee character, while reducing their stats for weapons such as bombs and handguns.
Ranger
Gives players buffs that allow them to be a more effective ranged character, while reducing their stats for weapons such as swords.
Players will find that most stats may be reduced during gameplay. Onslaught has a lowered max limit on all stats such as ASI, CTR, MSI, and so on. This does not mean that players will not have these stats at all. The idea is to reduce the feeling of Pay to Win as much as possible. No armor, weapons, or any other gear will be disabled during gameplay, however due to these limits their effective may be reduced.

Why are buffs so restricted?
One of the biggest complaints I've seen in Lockdown is that the game can essentially be Pay to Win if players get top of the line gear and Unique Variants. These limits in Onslaught are a proposed max cap on buffs to promote fairness between players.
The game still feels unbalanced in spite of these restrictions.
If you think that something doesn't feel right about gameplay, feel free to let me know! This concept was almost entirely the idea of one person, meaning that any gameplay presented may not be in the best interest of everybody else.

I think that *Insert Item Here* should be banned in Onslaught!
Onslaught is fully unrestricted on all weapons, armor, trinkets, and Unique Variants! Despite the limitations that may make these items less effective, they are fully available for players to use. Even items like the Orbitgun which may offer a unique gameplay experience will still be allowed in the game.
