A tiny but meaningful change to Shield Mechanics in PVE.

Shield already has a tiny blue blob, would be good if that blob could defend all knights who is under it, like in lockdown you know, but yet staying the same tiny size as it is now. That tiny change for tiny blob can bring some new play styles without affecting balance in game.

ps. I think about that every time someone in party lose their connection or just under shock of freeze status and is about to get fatal hit, and the only thing I can do is just watch them dying only because my mighty Omega Sell can't cover them too. Spiral Knights is a co-op game.

Currently it works almost the exact opposite from what it should have. When someone tanks an attack with their shield near me or stacked on me, the AoE of that attack hits me which is extremely annoying and can even get me killed sometimes. It just prevents you from taking damage and not the actual area you're in so if it was made so that the dome itself resists the damage it'd be awesome. The range of the shield should scale with its star level as well which would make more reason to use any shield other than SSB.

you got it right, but I don't see any reason to increase the area:
1. game is already way too easy
2. shield resistance already increase with every level
3. that thing you suggest would require writing a lot of new code, which is time consuming therefore not as easy to implement.

A change I suggest uses the code that already exists in game. And it is more like a polishing of mechanics, not changing it.
