After doing the same missions over and over, it's time for a challenge! How else are we to better our skills unless we challenge ourselves?

We're going to see who can slog through the Dreams and Nightmares mission on Ultra-Hard mode.

Winner of this challenge receives a Galactic Guardian Helm, and a solid High-Five! Event closes November 30th.

See Below for the Rules:

*Fastest Time gets the prize
*You may try as many times as you like
*Dreams and Nightmares on Elite - Last arena only
*Solo
*No Shield
*You may use a Sprite or Shield on the way to the last floor to accelerate the process
*Add +10 seconds on to your time for every weapon slot used over 2
*You may use your 1 emergency revive, but not sparks
*Time starts when you step on the button for the main arena
*Time ends when you step on the elevator
*Run must be recorded

Question

Looks like you only recorded the last depth before the loot area. Are we only required to do the last depth as well?

Yep! Just the final arena. Since the rest of the mission is random, it'll make for a more consistent time. Good call

Do I get -10sec for latency...
1 red square, so -30 sec?

Edit: The lag is horrible, meh. Too much effort.

When you say no sprite, can we bring one just for the perks? I'm used to having swift steps II, and losing that MSI would throw me off. Theoretically, if I was rich I could wear 2 Somnambulist Totems, but since I'm not rich and don't use trinkets, could I use my sprite perk instead?

According to the rules set, na... that's one of the reasons sprites weren't included. But honestly I think I made it a bit too tough since the lack of interest. Go forth and be with thine sprite! I'll augment the rules then :p

Only read this now... Though I don't know how well it would've gone for me because I game on a toaster, it would probably be unplayable while recording or very low quality at absolute best.

I have been wanting to record me tackling these kind of challenges but not sure if there's much of a point. :/

We don't challenge ourselves because challenges are easy, we do them because they're hard! Personal improvement is a worthy investment... that being said, I can understand why this might not appeal to many :)
