I try to understand the logic but sadly in the end I cant get it..
The developers have made excellent promos in the past that they could make something more from them so they will not be just cosmetics.
I understand the fact that they need funds and a promo seems a safe idea but why they dont take it a step further?
For example with this promo, let the promo with some costumes and rare accessories and auras but remake some owlite stages with a mini boss that if you beat it you will give tokens that will give a weapon or an armor or even a costume something that players will want to earn. The game needs desparetely new stages new things. Not only it will renew the interest of old players thus it increases the possibility of selling more promos but it also will attract new players who are checking the game.No player will want to invest time and money on a game that the updates are limited on cosmetics.
Obviously what I am speaking demands more resources-working hours etc but they already spend time to develop the promos why not put some extra work in the same theme of promos and give a better boost for the game(I am not saying that all promos should have new stages but we had various promos that were a great oppurtunity to add some new stages etc.Like the viking promo)? Is it so hard that the only solution are just promos to keep the game running?Perhaps that is the answer that obviously they cant tell us..
The answer is that Grey Havens is like 6 people working on two different struggling MMOs. Only so much time and resources available.
Danger Missions each took about a month when the team was working at their peak, with promos basically put on standby. Grey Havens is a fraction of the size with far less money to work with. Furthermore, one of the defining feature of F2P promos is that they *don't* come back around. That's what makes people buy now. GH can't afford to put that much work into something that likely wont be brought back.
