How about adding something similar to a limit break into the game?

Recharges once a day/week at a cost of a few energy something special happens. Clear the screen of enemies? a massive attack on a single target? A small cut scene and then damage? a little bit of magic to spice up the game with some high level equipment.

On a similar note how about summoning? Again with a screen clearing or massive single attack. I'm thinking FFVII style single attacks rather than a pet/mech knight.

A grain of truth...

I play this game because it is SK and not FF. However, the idea of extremely rare critical hits with some a bit sweeter animation is a good idea - you could have a charge attacks having simply higher crit. ratio OR having a crit. hit working as a semi-charged attack in the middle of combo. It would not put the game out of balance, just add a bit of sugar to it (of course it is dependant on the % of hits landing as criticals - having 0,1% or less seems to be a fine choice).

How about

we have pets running around ravaging on all the mobs...oh wait that's overpowering, never thought of it before.

I agree with novareid.This

I agree with novareid. This isnt Final Fantasy, and OOO would probably have to pay the Final Fantasy creators just to get 2 things that no one wants. This idea is probably one of the worst ideas I've seen.
