With a smallish playerbase, it's become harder and harder to find parties willing to split the 1800e cost for a shadow key.
With a 4 player party, the cost is 450e per person, which is a decent amount for one person to pay when running a shadow lair.
Seeing as though 450e is an acceptable price for one person to pay, why not make it the same for solo, duo, or trio runs?
What I propose is that four different shadow keys be made available for purchase from the supply depot.
A solo shadow key that costs 450e
A duo shadow key that costs 900e
A trio shadow key that costs 1350c
And a normal shadow key that costs 1800e
These keys would only be usable in parties that have the corresponding amount of players, but because of its price, the rewards from the lairs are unaffected. This would increase accessibility to running the lairs for smaller parties, especially solo players. Running the lairs is fun solo, but not when you're loosing over 100k cr in the process.
even getting to a shadow lair can be kind of a pain since the closest you can start is at Emberlight then it is about 5 floors to the clockwork terminal that has the elevator entrances to them. it would be cool if we could install a new floor in our guild halls that have the elevators to the shadow lairs instead to save time. a merchant on that floor could sell the keys but only members of that guild could buy them and use them. normal keys in the cash shop would remain at the cost of 1800 energy and guild members could buy it from their merchant in the guild hall for 800 energy. a discount that would encourage players to be in guilds and keys could not be traded to prevent players from profiting off of them by selling them.
we all want new and content but we are not likely to see a new dungeon anytime soon since the Grey Havens team is small. not everyone has the time to run 5 floors to get to that clockwork terminal and then run a hard dungeon plus the 1800 energy key price is kind of high. players would probably run it more if we could access it fast and a more affordable price. we already have great content, some of it just isn't used as much and could use a little updating. save time, save money, make a update that is cheap and affordable, and bring in more players.
