Welcome! Guildpact, previously a work in progress, is finally being released. To kick off our release, we are hosting 2 consecutive events: 2 star Lockdown with randomly chosen gear and then a live auction. These events will be held on March 9th 10:00AM EST, but before we talk about the event, a quick summary of the Guildpact and its guilds.

What is the Guildpact?
The Guildpact is a union of 4 guilds united under the cause of livening up Spiral Knights by uniting the community. Currently, the Guildpact has 4 guilds: Ability, Embermist Scavengers, Has Issues, and Sexy Knights. We have a Discord that acts like a hub (https://discord.gg/mDxZk5R).

Meet the Guilds and their Roles

Ability
Ability is a recently revived guild. As the sole dedicated PvP guild in the Guildpact, their primary goal is to get players into Lockdown (the PvP gamemode in Spiral Knights). As there are few new players in Lockdown, most players are well geared and experienced veterans. Playing against them can be tough and demoralizing, as it seems like everyone is on another level. Ability plans to host newbie events like “newbie tournaments” and “newbie matches”. By giving new players an encouraging and lively atmosphere, they hope to create the next generation of Lockdown players.

Embermist Scavengers
Embermist Scavengers is a guild that was founded in 2012. Their role in the Guildpact is to train new PvE players. This could range from teaching knights how to navigate the menu to learning how to counter different enemy types. With this in mind, they have a fitting motto: “Create vanguards who can create vanguards”. By the end, they hope that new members will be able to tackle anything the Clockworks can throw at them.

Has Issues
Has Issues is a new but active guild. Being founded in 2018, it has quickly risen to become the most active guild in the Guildpact. Currently, they have dozen members online daily with long-time veterans, returning players, and new players. Their role in the Guildpact is to be mediators to conflicts between guilds. This role is only given to those responsible enough to handle it.

Sexy Knights
Sexy Knights is another guild that was founded in 2012. The guild has a laid back atmosphere with many members, new and old. Their role in the Guildpact is twofold. Their secondary role is to help new players farm resources — crowns, orbs, fire crystals — anything. On the other hand, their primary role is to host events. These events can be anything and are always open to suggestions. They range in exclusivity from guild exclusive to Guildpact exclusive to completely open. On that note, they are the ones hosting the 2 open events on March 9th.

Lockdown with randomized 2 star gear

How does it work?
As the name implies, the event is a Lockdown event in which everyone’s gear is chosen randomly. Everyone will receive 2 weapons of different types (gun+sword, sword+bomb) and a full set of armor. All gear will be 2 star and will remain at level 1. Exactly how it is organized will depend on how many people show up. We may just start a 1v1 tournament or have organized GvGs with 2 star players. There is no entry fee and the gear will be supplied by Sexy Knights.

How do I enter?
There is no entry fee. To join, contact Redajit (GM of Sexy Knights). You can do this by mailing him ingame or contacting him via discord. Please be sure to give him your IGN and the weapon types you wish to be drawn for. You cannot have 2 swords/guns/bombs. The event will begin at 2:00PM EST on March 9th.

Why would I want to participate?
T2, a long dead Lockdown gamemode, was a fun changeup when compared to T3. It took many more hits to take a player down making it easier to play in a reckless manner, experiment around, and have longer fights. Now, with 2 star gear, we can revive T2 LD if only for a day.

Live Auction
How does it work?
As the name implies, the event will be a live auction in front of a live audience. You can sign up and Sexy Knights will organize who goes up when. After someone bids, everyone else has 30 seconds to outbid. If the 30 seconds are reached or the auctioneer decides to cut the timer short, the item is traded for the auctioned amount.

How do I enter?
The event will be hosted at Sexy Knights’ Guild Hall at 10:00AM EST on March 9th. To participate, just be there. If you wish to auction something, just be there. There will be a line for people wishing to auction items. The starting price should be below market price to encourage bidding and overbidding.

Why should I participate?
If you want to sell something you’ve been struggling to sell for a while, here is the perfect place to find a potential buyer. While you might end up selling something underpriced, you might also sell something overpriced depending on the demand for the product. If you want to buy something, you can find a wide variety of items here that might pique your interest. Maybe you’ll find something you didn’t know you wanted. All in all, no harm joining, is there?
