Hi!
So i recently had the thought to start playing SK again. So bascically im not sure if i wanna put time into the game and they suddenly shut it down. What are the opinions on this ?
worth putting time into the game ?

The current iteration is what I like to call Schrodinger's Spiral Knights.
We shoot a player through a hole, and if they decide to play Spiral Knights the game lives and if they don't it dies.
This is to say that if you, and everyone else interested in Spiral Knights, stays and plays, then the game gets content, updates and promotions. If you don't, then the game gets less investment and less people decide to stay.
This isn't to say that the game is on some kind of downward spiral, rather just that if you like it and want to play it then you should. A lot of people do consider the game worthwhile, and that's why it's still here.
According to the forums, the game has been "dying" and "in imminent threat of shutting down" since 2011 --- the year that it launched. If I had listened to such warnings and quit the game, I would have missed out on lots of fun.
My advice is to play the game. Probably you will have lots of fun, exhaust the content, and quit before the game shuts down anyway.
