hi guys, im tier 2 with 3 star armour the angelic set, but 2 star gun and sword im looking to get a 3 star sword currently i use the spur, and was intrested in the kamadarin but the attack speed is very low i have 20k crowns to play around with any advice?
what sword now...
Dont go the troika line. Keep the spur and upgrade to winmillion. Hopefully OOO will make the spur line to go to 5*. I loved that fast line. As for slow swords, head down the sealed sword path. Do multiple jelly runs to earn the tokens for it and upgrade it to a avenger, which you should then upgrade to a Divine Avenger. Good luck.
Spur is quite a nice sword, however, its upgrade chain ends at 4* - not as good for "endgame" as youll probly be relying on more 5* variants.
Most beginners play with Calibur and Cutter, and I'd much rather see a Cutter newbie than a Calibur charge spammer (which tends to damage/kill teammates by throwning enemies everywhere). Cutter is also very similar to the Spur in that it hits 10times, but much faster. Good for attacking then hiding behind your shield when fighting.
The Kamarin is a nice sword - good practise for when you get a Faust or Avenger (Sealed Sword line) - two also very good weapons which can often prove near invaluable.
You may also want to look into some of the Brandish swords which come in a few fun variants, they are essentially the Sealed Sword line with less AoE (Sealed Sword hits in a 180degree arc) and no knockback, but they have a faster, 3 hit combo which does a fair whack of damage, and has a very very nice charge attack.
As for having 20k crowns... dont waste it on a random number of 2* weapons. have a look around at what others have, and if you see anything you like, go after that. 20k wont actually last very long, especially when youre trying to make a 4* armor set for instance, or buy CE. (or hunting unique variants.)
I really don't see why you wasted your time saying exactly what I said... lol.
But yeah, I have a Gran Faust AND Divine Avengerr and I love them both. (Not to mention my freezing atomizer and graviton bomb. soon to be shivermist buster and graviton vortex.)
And how could i forget my argent peacemaker?
well as you can see, my post is quite wall-like. i was writing it whilst you were doing yours. you just hit "save" faster.
Just for the record, I have a Khorovod, which is the end of the Troika-line swords. The only real argument against using one is that the Troika alchemy path terminates at 4*, which is the same as the Spur. So if you're going to knock one for that reason, you can't really turn around and suggest using the other. Personally, I'm praying just as hard that the Troika eventually gets a 5* upgrade too.
I also have a Sealed Sword, which I got more recently and have been using extensively while heating it in order to upgrade it later. I've noticed that it's slightly faster than my Khorovod, which is nice. I have also noticed that the Khorovod has way more range. Way more. The charge attack sucks, I'll admit, but the range and knockback on the Troika line swords is utterly and totally insane, and unlike the Sealed Sword, you'll never wind up in the weird situation where your first swing knocks enemies out of range of the second one.
I have about half-a-dozen different swords, of various speeds, styles and damage types, but after I've slotted in the special purpose weaponry for the upcoming strata and I'm just looking for something extra I can depend on if I run up on something unexpected, the weapon I keep coming back to is the Khorovod.
How good is it? I'm a Gunner, not a swordsman. The Khorovod wasn't just the first 4* sword I made, it was my first 4* weapon.
That would be quite a change from your current (fast) sword to one of the slow ones... There are many options, and they depend on your style, what you like, etc.
I'd say: try many 2* swords to get an idea of what style you prefer, then go with it :-)
[I carry both a 3 and a 2-strike sword most of the time, for different situations, I'm not a fan of the spur and cutter lines, but it's a personal choice I guess]
